I have been a home health care provider for more than 20years. I love the idea of taking care of people who can no longer take care of themselves. I am kind & patient. I am understanding of their constantly needs & moods. I understand their sadness & loneliness. I am also a good listener. In the past my patient's families really appreciated the fact that I was so dependable & trustworthy. They never had to worry about their loved ones when I was on duty. I am most proud of my ability to stay with one of two patients for an extended period of time. I was with one for 10 years until he passed away and with my last one for nearly 7.

I've been a caregiver for over 20 plus years. I've performed private duty as well as live in homecare serviced. Overnight Memory Care Wound care Alzheimer's Dementia Cerebral palsy including Hospice care, Medication reminder s, feeding G-tube with medications and liquid food Maintenance is just to name a few. Such duties also performed included completing laundry errands cooking house cleaning transfer from the bed to the wheelchair shower bed bath grooming. Companionship combined with hospice, and cancer respite care.

What makes me a good caregiver is that I do just that ...I CARE ! I became a caregiver for my Mom before she passed, rest her beautiful soul. I cooked, assisted her with bathing and grooming. I cleaned, gave medications, so I know the job well after that I started working as a DSP Direct support professional .. i'm nice friendly and patient I love helping people

My personality traits that would help me be a great caregiver would be compassion, patience, and dependability. I would treat my residents as if they were my own family members. What attracted me to being a caregiver would be liking to help others and taking care of my elderly family members. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is seeing my residents smile and knowing that I treated them with dignity. A personal achievement I am proud of is being able to persevere and wake up everyday to face new challenges.

I became a caregiver because of my parents in need of care...During a 36+year period I have worked as a caregiver/home-care aide also assisted caring for my parents until they departed. I was taught to honor thy mother/ father and respect others at a young age... I have completed and passed a C.N.A. course 19+years ago and have worked in nursing homes,skilled facilities and rehab centers as a rehab assistant for quite sometime now...What I do in making a difference in helping others has always been a joyous experience. I became a Nursing Assistant when my grandfather was diagnosed with Cancer it was hard on my grandmother, but once I stepped in with bathing, helping with light housekeeping around the house or just letting my grandmother get out for an hour or two her load was lightened it was a blessing. I felt giving back to my grandfather for all the love and support he has given me all the years was truly from the heart, he later passed away within three months then my grandmother was diagnosed with Cancer and I stepped in for her with just myself and my little children and again it was a blessing but challenging at same time but God gave me strength through my trail and made me strong.If i can give that to everyone I come in contact with am complete because it's from the heart helping someone with a bath, dressing them for the day, of just having a conversation means a lot to so many.. I love what I do and can give another individual

I love working with seniors helping them with there daily needs. And putting a smile on there face let's me know I'm going a great job

Hello there I'm prosper. It is my sincere pleasure and gratitude to be able to service your loved ones that's in need. People come through all walks of life with different stories different identities, and different trauma and pain. But no one has to go through these things alone. And that's where I come in! I have four years of experience with clients/patients of different backgrounds, ethnic backgrounds, disability and disorders. Though difficult at times emotionally/Physically for clients. I have the Will to push through to benefit Your Loved one To the Highest Compacity I can. I find Caregiving the best reward to be by the side of others in need. Because when you give care you receive care. I am the utmost compassionate and understanding toward different needs and I don't disappoint.. because letting down your loved one is not an option. I love to be able to help others from young to older, did it half of my life. I live in hammond,indiana with my husband and dog. I Enjoy adventures and family time. Being hands on with a person everyday or week you become close and understand them. I have the patience, awareness of my surroundings, fast actions and enjoy helping others. If I don't know what to do I'll look it up or ask lots of questions. I been taking care of my dad for the last 8 years, every Tuesday I take him to his doctor appointments and I also do housekeeping every Friday mornings for the last 2 years. Caregiving is my passion, doing my passion for 7 years.
