Hi there!!!! I have always had a passion for helping others. Whether it was taking a position in a daycare or public school or assisted living or residential home; I have been working in the human service field for as long as I was legally able too! And before I jumped into the workforce, I babysat children in my community since 11 years old; so being a caregiver has always come naturally to me. During my 20's while studying to obtain my bachelors degree, I worked as a PSS for seven years for two home health care agencies. I absolutely loved working with clients in their homes, as I'm able to provide exceptional care in the environment that they feel most comfortable. I find it extremely rewarding to help others in need. In my opinion, the elderly are the most vulnerable population to be financially and physically abused, and it's important for caregivers to advocate, so that they are able to receive the proper care the later years of their lives. I enjoy working with a client in home, as I find that everyone has their own culture and it's fascinating to learn about someone's past life experiences. I think it is very important to be open minded, and I would fully respect my clients way of living and not show judgment. I have great communication skills and can adapt to whatever style of communication my client prefers. I take constructive criticism very seriously; I want to make sure I am giving the best care, but more importantly the right care, for what my clients personalized needs are. I promise to treat my clients with dignity and respect, while providing them support so that they are able to continue living successfully and safely, in the comfort of their own homes.

I advocate for the Elderly also Adults with Disabilities another one of my rewarding and passionate experiences . My grandparents are a big motivation for this career path, I want to give back and spread compassion. The best thing about being a caregiver is meeting new people and getting to know them. Whether it's the elderly, children, or animals I've always had a passion for helping others. This is my 5th year in this career and it's been an amazing experience.

At the small age of 9 i would help my aunt take care of my Great grandmother. Dressing and feeding and just being there for her. I've always wanted to be someones light in their darkest times. Taking great care of people is what I know. I've done caregiving my whole life and I always enjoy meeting new people and hearing the stories of how life used to be. I believe everyone deserves to have a good life even better a great ending. No one should ever feel unloved or wanted when they need help. I want to make life easier for other's, as we know illness doesn't make anything easy. I moved to lincolnville to help take care of a family member before corona. She had dementia and Alzheimer's as well as DVT. She passed away october 2020. She was and is an amazing soul. To put it simply, I love what I do and I love to help anyway i possibly can.

I love being a caregiver! I am self-motivated and I just love people. If you're looking for someone to just spend time with and make sure everything is taken care of I'm your guy! I first became a caregiver just because it was an easy job for me to get but I instantly fell in love with it. I have worked within two facilities and I have had nothing but good times and met some amazing people!

My Mom was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia in 2009. I became her Plenary Guardian and caregiver until she left us in 2014. Since then, my mission and vision was to open a company to take care of Seniors and help their caregivers with respite so they can live their lives where they are most comfortable. Thus, Friends of Virginia was created. My long term goal is to open several gated tiny home communities throughout Maine for people with dementia. I am not only available to the Seniors but to their families as well so they can get a break and let their Seniors age in their current homes as long as possible.
