I started my career of caregiving In 1983 where I provided in home care for an elderly lady for 18 months. In 1984 I worked for Minnesota DHS with developmentally disabled persons. In 1989 I began working for the Minnesota DOC until I retired in 2020. I love to help people achieve their goals and I really enjoy seeing people happy. I am currently teaching myself some wood working, furniture refinishing and some art.

I have a passion for helping the minority communities, individuals with disabilities and children. Patience, understanding, compassion and adaptability are just some of the must-have qualities for caring for another human being. I am committed on making individuals lives better. My experience as a Direct support professional, resource navigator, interpreter, customer service representative and billing specialist is reinforced by professional licensing and certifications, with a focus on fostering communication, excellent customer service and compassion. I am a detail-oriented communicator, whose resourceful multi-tasking abilities thrive in fast-paced environment. I enjoy cooking with family and friends, going to the movies with my 2 children Ethan and Emma and love traveling to the beach whenever I get a vacation from my second full-time job, motherhood.

I have a long line of care takers in my family so it's always been my passion to help people live their lives to the fullest. It brings me joy to watch the worry fall off their shoulders the minute I walk through the door. Every one of my clients are treated as if they were my own family. I am most proud of my ability to have patients. I have been pushed to my limit several times but I can always remain calm and talk my way through those crisis. I make friends easily but yet manage to stay professional in my work places. I'm a very relaxed and approachable person, I feel that's very important in my field.

I have been working as a RN for 28 years. I enjoy working with and getting to know clients/patients. I am compassionate, easy going and enjoy working with all walks of life.

I'm great listener, patient,punctual, caring, reliable, upbeat, positive etc. I love working with people and I get a joy of helping people with whatever challenge they have. There are countless ones but my pride and joy is when through my ability of empathy and caring I was able to give a different perspective to a depressed person from feeling suicidal and secluded to an outgoing and goal oriented person. Now that person works and lives in her own apartment.

My personality traits are I'm really kinda person and understanding other in a good way. I'm also open minded person and out-coming so for that reason I get along with everyone. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I can communicate and get to know new people so I can make them laugh and make their day with full happiness. My personal achievements I'm proud of is that where ever I work people compliment me for being honest and hard working.

We allow each patient to customize the care they are needing. We wearing many hats and are happy to assist with grocery shopping and errands in addition to health care and concerns. I have grown up around nursing homes and group homes. My mother was CNA when I was young and I always loved spending my days there. I enjoy working directly with individuals to make their day easier and better. I like being able to connect with residents and being able to enjoy spending time together. I'm very proud of completing school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Although my license has lapsed, I would love to go back and re-ceritify.

I take pride in what I do I love my job and love what I do .It's not all about the money it's my calling from the lord it's been a dream of mine to take care of people I take pride and respect taking care of those who require my services I will treat your love one like I treat my own with tender loving care .
