Hello! My name is Lori. I am a mother of 4 (almost grown) children, and a daughter of one elderly parent. I have been a Physical Therapist Asst. for 29 years. My mother suddenly passed in 2017. My father has severe dementia, and in her absence, there existed a need for someone to care for him. I fulfilled this role for some time, until the inevitable, appropriate time came for me to return to my family and life back here in Missouri. I personally experienced the process of seeking a suitable caregiver for my father, to help maintain the lifestyle that he had always known. I didn't think that it should be difficult to find this person (people). But, it was, especially in a small rural KS town, considering the financial resources available. I discovered a passion for in-home caregiving. I have been blessed to be able to continue caregiving since that time, and have worked with several wonderful families. I am reliable, competent and compassionate. It is my desire to continue caring for those in need.

I am a 33 year old single mother of 1. I have over 6 years of Caregiving experience. I absolutely love helping others. I have experience in working with the elderly, mental health clients, and the disabled. I would love to find full time employment but an willing and able to fill in as needed as well.

My personality traits that help me be a great caregiver is knowledge and understanding of all types of people and conditions. I can become attached to clients as I get to know them as they can become basically like family. I enjoy my work and job as a caregiver, its the most rewarding job I have had before I became a mother. I do enjoy connecting with my clients early and knowing routines for their lives so I can be the best at their needs and wants.

I love taking care of people that may need that extra help rather it is due to age, a sickness, after a surgery, terminal illness or some that just needs someone to stay with them while family is out. I believe everyone should be taken care of with the highest care that u can give them. Like you would want your own family to be taken care of when u aren't able too.

One of my greatest passions are caring for others. I have been in health care for three years now and I have loved everyone of my jobs. When in my free time I help with a daycare, ride horses, and look for ways to better myself. I am going back to nursing school in August 2018, to further my education. What I have loved most about all my jobs is seeing the smile and my residents/patients face when I know I am helping them they way they deserve to be help. I love seeing my patient progress in their daily living activities, I love seeing them achieve the goals that we both know they can do.

I have worked in Home Healthcare since I was in high school getting paid to take care of my grandpa! That really sparked an interest in me to take care of others when he passed away. I have over 10 years experience. I am a mother to 2 beautiful children. My son is nonverbal autistic so I also have extensive experience with that.

I am a very outgoing person, a mom of three. Ready to get back to work now that my kids are older. I want to continue helping people like I always have since I was little. I have taken so many classes to further my education in child care up to elderly care. my calling in life is to help others and that's what I'm ready to get back into. I am honest, loving, compassionate, caring, shy but energetic, encouraging, hard working, reliable. I love being in nursing because of the people i get to meet and how i am able to help make a differance in there lives. I love being able to make life enjoyable, and brightening up there day. I happily enjoy helping make there day a little more easier for them and to see them. Seeing there smiles and the glow when u come in to help them makes my heart melt. I am an excellent companion because i am a wonderful listner and im interested in all memories of the past and when they tell u about there life and how they got to were they r now is something i cherish. Iv worked in 2 nursing homes and a behavior healthcare unit, all of my jobs are within the experience of short/ long term/ independent living, dementia,Alztimers, behaviors. I have been in nursing for 7 years and currently work for Cascade healthcare agency and care for my aunt that lives in my home.
