I became a caregiver at 15/16. My entire family works in the healthcare field. I'm a very kind and hard driving person. My grandmother and grandfather both passing in the same year is what drove me to become a caregiver. My achievement right now is going to school to become an lpn. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is learning new things and being able to learn about my residents pasts.

I am a bubbly, energetic caregiver, but I also know how to adjust my energy based upon each clients personality. Hello everyone my name is Kaneisha. I'm a very outgoing person, bubbly and love to meet new people. What makes me a a great caregiver is that I have compassion and empathy. I could always make someone feel very comfortable that's one of my specialties. As a child I always stepped up and helped my mother with my younger sister. Knowing that a little help could go a long way when someone is in need attracted me to continue to be a caregiver. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is meeting new people, learning about them, and giving them the satisfaction that I am there to help them. I love that I am and furthering my career on being a better caregiver.

My abilities and interests in becoming a care giver were fostered during my young teenager years. An immediate family member of mine has experienced many health issues, some of which were life changing medical emergencies. At a very young age I became a caregiver to this family member, which included providing direct daily care, feeding, ambulating, and educating them on their health journey. Along with experience caring for other family members with various conditions, I am also currently enrolled in a 2-year, RN Nursing Program at SUNY Morrisville; which is my proudest achievement so far! Nursing school has provided me with a further understanding of medical knowledge, disease processes, patient centered care abilities, and hands on learning (includes In-Patient clinical rotations). Because of this I am continuously able to add to my list of experience with various health conditions, some including: Alzheimer's, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, Lesch Nyhan Syndrome, Autism Syndrome, Diabetes, Stroke, Heart Attack, Depression, Anxiety, Ostomy Bags, and more. I am a very organized and detail-oriented person, I enjoy keeping a schedule and planning in advance as much as possible. I have always been described as mature, professional, and approachable. I truly enjoy caring for people, and I work hard to ensure individuals feel comfortable with their care. Nothing is more rewarding to me than making positive impacts on those around me!

Hello my name is Delilah, I would first like to think my personality is bubbly, devoted, energized and caring. I have great expertise I am certified in CPR as well as First Aid and genuinely have great Communication skills. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my respect for the elderly they have lived through some amazing life experiences and lessons and I believe it's highly important that they receive the care and respect we would want our grandparents and or parents to be treated with. What I enjoy most about being a care giver is building a great and healthy relationship as well as trust by learning and listening to there life stories and lessons. My name is Lindsey and I have been a CNA for 2 years in a nursing home setting, I love my residents and I love my job I am just looking for a change since I have worked in the same facility for almost 4 years now. I have always loved taking care of people ever since I could remember. I love the connections I have built with the people I have been taking care of. I always say my residents are like family and I take care of them as I would want my family to be taken care of.

I believe a caregiver should be someone that the patient can trust undoubtedly, and be able to bond with. After all we spend so much time with someone in their home everyone needs to be comfortable. I don't just see caring for people as a service but an honor. To be able to get to know someone's life, likes, dislikes and story all make this type of work extremely rewarding. **Will be available full time any hours after May first.
