As a caregiver I am compassionate and caring. I decided to become a caregiver after helping care for my grandfather during his end of life. Through my 15+years of being a caregiver I understand what is means for the clients to have the care they deserve, while maintaining their dignity. I pride myself on being a team player and can adapt easily to changes. Attention to detail is important to me as well. What has made me the proudest, is the relationships I have established with my clients and their families.

I love being a caregiver/CNA. I've been a CNA for over 25 years. It gives me alot of pleasure taking care of the elderly. I'm a very caring & compassionate person. The reason why I started becoming a caregiver was because my brother just got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I used to take care of him before he went into the nursing home. I'm very hard working & enjoy listening to my clients history, for example where they are from & what they used to do for a living. I would treat your loved one like I would my own with up most respect. I really enjoy getting to know my clients & I feel like they are part of my family. If I can make them smile & laugh then I know I'm doing my job because some of my clients don't have much family or friends & they get very lonely & depressed. My personal achievement is taking care of sick & elderly patients.

I am a very compassionate person who loves taking care of elderly. I started home health care right out of high school and I fell in love with it. I haven't done anything else since then and I am now 27! I enjoy creating a bond with my clients and assisting them with all their needs. It makes me feel good to know that I could help somebody else achieve daily tasks (and more) that would be impossible without help. Home health is a very rewarding job, which is why I love it so much.

I became a caregiver 5 years ago fresh out high school after helping my grandma through her breast cancer process. I believe my patients, care, and communication skills make me one out of many great caregivers. I enjoy assisting residents with there every day needs and knowing I'm helping someone accomplish something. I love being a Caregiver because I have a passion for putting others first. Seeing someone with an intellectual disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life is enough to make it all worthwhile. In essence, it's about making small changes to your everyday life to make major beneficial changes to someone with an intellectual disability. Seeing them respond to their new environment - and the care and love that shapes it - provokes a feeling that must be experienced to be believed. And there's simply no reward quite like watching the smile emerge and hearing their laughter. I've being a caregiver for more then 10 years now. I used to volunteer for nursing home and other activity when I was in the age of 19 so that's how i was encouraged to become a caregiver. I love to socialize,read, swim,meet new people and play sports.

I would be a great caregiver cause I love hearing about peoples story from the past and getting to know them . I love doing activities with people such as coloring and board games . I love meting new people as seeing them being taken care of that they're needs are met .

Hello, I have worked in the field for over 15 years. I have worked with many disabilities. The rewarding part is helping someone in need and putting a smile on their faces. Currently I work with IDD adults. No matter what type of diagnosis or disorder they may have they all deserve to be treated equally. Just to name a few things. I taught how to cook and how to fold laundry. I love what I do.

Throughout my profession, I learned the most significant lesson that can never be taught in a training; everyday life experiences. My name is Mike, and I grew up with my grandfather and aunt and witnessed personally their daily problems. I saw how tough life can be through simple things we often take for granted such as walking, doing laundry and preparing food. It gave me a reason and a purpose to help other families as well. As time passes, it's natural to be concerned for the well-being of our own and our family. I know for me, my grandfather's safety was important to me all the way to his last day from cancer. I know the importance of trusting the right person during their most difficult times in their life. I also have 10+ years of hands on work experience as a Direct Support Professional Caregiver and a College Student Caregiver / Note Taker. This provided me with greater experience working with people with various diagnoses and limitations.
