Hello my name is Rachel. I recently just moved to the Knoxville area from Sarasota Florida. I've been a caregiver for 8 years. I love being a caregiver and helping bring happiness to someone's life. I'm skilled in most everything non-medically related. I can help with transporting to Doctors, cooking, laundry, bathing, exercising, light house cleaning, companionship, I know how to use a Hoyer lift. Of course I can transfer with gaitbelt (as needed). I treat all my clients like family as that is how I got into doing this type of profession. I took care of my grandparents in hospital beds inside our living room for years up until their very last breath. I take that same type of compassion with me to every clients house I go to. Hello my name is Sierra Netherland. I am a single mother of 3 and is also expecting another child in August. My support system is amazing and encourages me to be my best. I have been in the caregiving field since 2006 where I first started working for The Cerebral Palsy Center. I enjoy what I do and is planning on going back to school for my LPN/RN in the near future.

I overly care for all people, I've worked with several different caregiver companies. I've always loved helping elderly/disabled people. I enjoy the clients the most. They mean so much to me. I've worked in health care since I turned 18 and I love it. I've done it for so long I couldn't imagine doing anything else.

I have a great love and respect of elderly. Their knowledge and experiences in and of life are priceless. I have dealt with elderly care all of my career and the challenges it encompasses. It's very hard for them to admit to needing care and harder for them to relinquish their independence. Having a close understanding of this challenge is vital to gaining trust so they will allow assistance from a caregiver. It is a privilege to be allowed into someone's life on such a personal side, not just in their home but to provide personal care. I pride myself on being trustworthy ,dependable , compassionate as well as finding the ability to persuade them into doing what is best for them I.E exercises, bathing, eating correctly. Having good character and integrity is top priority in this occupation. I have references and background check available upon request. On a more personal note, I am a wife, mother and grandmother who values family immensely.
