I am a licensed CNA with over 15 year's experience as both an hourly and an in-home 24 hour caregiver. I have many year's experience in other related healthcare fields as well and am also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I have Nurse Delegation certification, BLS/HCP CPR and First Aid cards, as well as Mental Health certification. The last 2 1/2 years I've worked with predominantly one client providing care for all the activities of daily living (including transportation) and companionship as well as acting as a healthcare advocate. I've also spent 4 years with an Alzheimer's client providing in home care including physical therapy assistance and hospice. I have provided care for clients with multiple health concerns including hypertension, stenosis, heart disease, depression, paralysis, digestive disorders, and cancer. As a side note, I have learned tremendously for 5 years the many aspects of case management acting as a POA and Healthcare Representative/Advocate/Case Manager for a family member and other clients so am able to provide those kind of services as well if needed. I previously worked as a Veterinary Technician for 16 years and in a prior position provided at home medical care for my client's pet as well. I began working in a nursing home while in high school. I enjoyed taking the time to care for my clients in the home on a daily basis.
