what makes me a great caregiver is my personality my compassion and my ability to not judge but to always try to understand and accept everyone for who they are. Also my empathy I have for elders that are now unable to care for themselves. My willingness to serve, an absence of “attitude,” and the patience to weather a patient’s bad days. I became a caregiver because the joy I felt from being able to assist my elders and show them that through their struggles they can rely on me to help them along the way. My most proud moment was when I cared for my aunt who had a stroke and became bed ridden and wasn't able to walk. I stayed by her side the entire time I helped with her physical therapy and she shortly began to be able to walk again i was proud because i could tell tat a certain point she wanted to give up, but he remained strong and she told me it was because i'd show up everyday pushing her to want to get back walking.
