About Angelica

Hello, My name is Angelica Perkins. I'm an organized individual who is very passionate about assisting others with their daily activities. I'm a very motivated self-starter who's very team-oriented as well. I love making people smile laugh, laugh and genuinely feel great! What drove me to become a caregiver is working with my brother who has multiple sclerosis. Seeing the daily challenges that he faced and knowing that we had to reach out to organizations to assist him but we were always sent to other places to outsource for his care, It made me want to not complain about the issue but fix the issues in our society. I wanted to make care assistance more accessible for individuals in my community and communities like mine. I wanted to make resources more accessible and convenient four people like my brother, senior, and people with disabilities. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to see the difference that I make in someone's life just by providing them with the smallest gestures that make their life easier to manage. I've learned that sometimes we think these gestures are small but they make a huge impact in someone's life. That alone makes me smile every night before I go to bed! I love to see people's I, especially when you are there every step of the way to assist them and help them back to being there healthy self or being comfortable with their self and others. I believe that great health starts at home, not when your loved one has to be admitted into a hospital or not after something happens to your loved one. One of the happiest achievement in my life was becoming a licensed Home Care Aid. Being able to provide individuals with companionship is also one of the greatest achievements that I have ever made.

Hello, my name is Elisa I am 59 years old My caregiving started in 1995 , as my Mother became ill , I knew she would want a high level of in home care that I would personally be able to provide. As her illness became more advanced , it was important to me that she be able to stay in her home where she would be more comfortable. A few time a week turned into every day, then several hours a day. My Mothers wishes to be at home in her time of need was fulfilled . And it was a blessing and a honor to be there for her. I found myself wanting to give other families the same opportunity my Mother was given. I continued working closely with other families as well as with the IHSS of King Co. from 1995 till 2001.Then in California in Contra Costa Co. From 2002 - 2009 then , I returned back to Washington State where I have continued my work with private families. I am available to start giving the best care to your loved ones or yourself and give the same opportunity to remain safely in your home. I am currently approved, on the Home Health Care Registry . Please feel free to see a full work history upon request. References can be provided upon request. I have been given the covid vaccine .

I chose caregiving because of how fulfilled it makes me feel. I give care because of my love and passion for people, need to help others and my desire to make a positive difference in the society by impacting other people's lives. Seeing a big smile on other people's faces is refreshing. I'm a warm, kind, caring, giving, compassionate, patient, positive and athletic individual who enjoys being active, caring for others and making a positive difference. I feel very lucky and blessed to be able to use these qualities to help others through their daily life's experiences and with their activities of daily living. I thoroughly enjoy my job of caring for people and touching lives through compassionate care. Helping others to me, is enriching, rewarding, interesting, interactive, involving, versatile, and diverse; as I get to meet, communicate with and help people from all walks of life. There's always something different whether it's helping them to be able to get back on their feet, or helping them through their current life's experience; whatever it is that they are going through. Since I'm athletic and really enjoy being active, caregiving keeps me on my feet daily. Also, I get to meet and care for unique and amazing individuals, meet their families, learn about them and what makes them tick. In the process I get to know their likes, dislikes, values, cultures, traditions and all the fun stuff, gaining more knowledge and experience from them, while being in charge of my own scheduling. How fantastic is that!
