TBI client. First and foremost I am helping my client relearn to walk. Motivating them to do things on their own. We do a very rigorous workout program all week. With personal trainers at the gym, OT and PT workouts. Along with out of the physical therapy that is geared towards just getting my client back to walking on their own, or with a cane. Traveling with client, for day trips and overnight trips. Getting med boxes ready for the month. Making charts for care received that other caregivers follow, and input the care given. Fluid intake and output charting. ADLs. Charts for exercises given. Maintaining a care plan and training new caregivers. Getting her to and from appointments, with their own vehicle. Traveling on the ferry systems. Daily showers and incontinence care.

Over 4.5 years' hands-on experience in caregiving field * Highly skilled in assisting diverse clients in their daily living activities * In-depth knowledge of providing personal grooming; skin care, hair, nails and oral care, shaving * Hands-on experience in monitoring vital signs, pulse, temperature and oxygen levels * Well-versed in grocery shopping, running errands, making doctor's appointments, physical therapy appointments, or anything else they might need or want (hair appointments) * Providing assistance in toileting, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene i.e.; peri-care * Adept at preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks * Demonstrated ability to encourage everyday activities while keeping in mind the client's needs * Providing conversation and companionship in a respectful but fun manner * Proven ability to dispense and remind them about taking prescribed and over the counter medication, lotions or ointments and (lidocaine) patches * First-hand experience in all housekeeping areas, running errands, laundry work, thoroughly cleaning rooms and bathrooms, showers and bath tubs * Proficient in assisting clients with walking and physical therapy * Able to assist patients throughout the night * Maintain confidentiality
