About Rachel

Hello Family (: At the age 15 I was determined to find my place in the world and know what I was working towards. I did research on many jobs out there, looked at what was in demand, and took personality tests to see what was a good fit. After that, I came to a conclusion and had decided that nursing was the route I wanted to take for a career. My journey being in the healthcare field started when I was 19 after I went to school and completed the Patient Care Technician Program. That certification included phlebotomy, EKG, CNA and Advanced CNA. After that I worked full time at a rehabilitation center/nursing home for about 6 months. Then I moved on to working at a hospital for almost two years. I absolutely loved my job. what I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the joy of serving, helping, loving, and caring for others. I am a christian and the Lord says that the greatest commandment we can live by is to love others. For the last few years I had met my husband and we had a beautiful little girl whom I've been caring for. Now I am ready to come back to my career part-time. Thank you so much for considering me. I look forward to speaking with you. Blessings, Rachel

Greetings! I fell in love with caregiving while attending travel school, and working for an elderly man in his home. My passion for caregiving comes from growing up in a large family and always having people around me of all ages. I adored my grandparents, and had the pleasure of caring for all of my older siblings children before having 2 of my own. When I lost my grandparents, I decided that I wanted to spend my time around seniors, helping them to remain in their homes as long as possible. It has been a 35 year career for me, and I enjoy it more every day! The personalities of my clients are so varied and so valuable, and the knowledge and humor I have witnessed has been truly priceless. I hope I can somehow give back as much as I have been given.

I have over 10 years experience as a caregiver. I have worked for home health care agencies as well as private clients. I have also worked as a live in care giver. In my career as a caregiver, I have worked with clients with various conditions including dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, diabetes, cancer treatment, hospice. I enjoy working as a caregiver because it is a rewarding job. I get satisfaction in knowing that I was able to be of help to my clients in their time of need. It gives me joy hearing my clients appreciate the help am able to offer. I am very observant and pay attention to detail, because of that, I am able to offer recommendations to my clients and aides that will make their everyday living easier. I am kind, patient and I take care of my clients as I would my own family or as I would love someone else to take care of my family. Most of the families I have worked with over the years are now part of my family.
