In home caregiver 2+ years. 5+ years in clinic medical assistant, private family practice, pulmonary specialist, pediatric care. I have loved and learned so much doing each of these very different types of medical caregiving and I only look to do this with a warm heart, trained hands and a listening ear for years to come! I may have 'found my calling' after turning 30, but every day I go to work and help with all kinds of changing & new treasures Of our lives like: a 55yr old patient newly dx. with diabetes who already has high blood pressure & doesn't know how to get information/help with either. Or maybe a sweet elderly 87yr old who just learned some unexpected link between two medical needs they have or when I get to aid in a walk in medical emergency and I hear they end up being ok. I have also been overwhelmed with joy and rewards of the heart when doing in home care and seeing progress and healing to return to life as the patient knew before accident or injury that brought me to their home . The most amazing stories of life long before I was here or life in another country and the changes to our lives now I get to share in with some home health, caregiving elderly patients I hold close to my heart and makes me smile! This is my personal touch side that I love to share with my patients and enjoy as the medical assistant is keeping care of the body.
