Job Summary/Position Objective: Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or assists in the delivery of health care and patient care management. Essential Functions: Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Record pertinent patient information. Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments. Perform selected patient care and clerical duties. Administer medications, injections as directed by medical provider. Assist medical provider with examinations, minor procedures, and treatments. Assist in scheduling of tests and treatment referrals. Respond to telephone calls / messages and respond accordingly or gather information and transfer to medical provider. Adhere to safe principles of lifting, patient transfer and ergonomics. Weekend shifts in Urgent Care. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. Assist in departmental chores and non patient care assignments Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested. May act as a preceptor for orientation of new staff / students. Order and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities Complete required record keeping in regards to your role in admitting, transferring and discharging residents. Coordinate with nursing staff and support personnel daily to plan the shifts' services, programs and activities to ensure the resident's total regimen of care is maintained. Prepare and administer medications and review medication cards for completeness and accuracy. Review resident care plans for appropriate resident goals, problems, approaches and revisions based on nursing needs. Plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care. Provide leadership to nursing personnel and make daily rounds of your unit to ensure staff is providing direct care in accordance with resident's care plan and wishes. Develop and maintain rapport with nursing staff, other department personnel, residents, family members, and all other individuals involved in resident's care. Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.

Administer vaccine. Dispose of bio-hazardous waste. Dismantle site. Complete documentation. Knowledge of Universal Precautions. Knowledge of Maxim clinic policy and procedure. Knowledge of emergency action to be taken; including epinephrine administration during an anaphylaxis reaction. Knowledge of protocols for adverse reaction, reporting of incidents and injuries. Storage and transportation of necessary supplies to include vaccine. Other duties as assigned
