I have worked several cases and finally settled in with one ongoing client. He has digestive and swallowing challenges, as well as poor sight and hard of hearing. With input from his primary providers I developed a diet, involving blending all his foods, that he has enjoyed and in about 3 months his weight went from 104 to 125. I had taken him to the hospital to get his gastric feeding tube removed per his request because of the pain it was causing him. It was in crooked, it turned out, and he did not want another put in. With advice, we also found a way to get him taking his meds correctly, which he had never done before on his own, as he is an independent self care client on these things. I have continued to find at least a small variety of things that he will eat and enjoy pureed. His weight has remained stable in the near 2 years that I have worked with him. This client was on palliative care for the first year and half with him. But observing it's inefficiency for him and discussing his dissatisfaction with it, I was able to get him into another insurance coverage that has taken him to active personal care with a concerned primary Doctor. Together we have been able to make great improvements to his wellbeing.

Comprehensive care duties in the homes of numerous elder clients with varing needs or conditions, including errands, appointments and outings, problem solving with diet and overall care in cooperation with client's primary providers.

I worked with hundreds of families as needed for child care and elder care. I did meal preparing, errands, Dr. visits, outings, companionship, light house keeping, personal care, dressing assist, occasionally helped to organize an area that needed it in their home, walked and fed pets, ambulation assist, assist eating when necessary.
