About Kristin

I have been a caregiver for both the young and aging for ten years, and I am passionate about becoming a Certified Nutritional Specialist for the geriatric community. I originally came to caregiving for the sole purpose of helping people. After doing the work for some time, I realized that my favorite part about my job is having the opportunity to learn from, and about my clients as I help them enjoy the life they deserve. As a natural born go-getter, my passion has continuously driven me to expand my knowledge, experience, and relationships. With a strong background in caregiving for the aging population and a continuing education in the science of nutrition, I'm confident in the care that I provide my clients.

I accidentally became a caregiver, after doing massage therapy for 25 years. I love people and have a knack for tuning into them, making them laugh and seeing the bright side. I take things lightly and practice patience and being in the moment. I do Tai Chi which keeps me grounded, happy and in physical shape. I am easily adaptable in others' homes, as I housesit a lot, take care of peoples' pets and have been in and out of a lot of homes, caregiving and doing hospice work. I have a positive attitude, am well adjusted, energetic and happy. I see what needs to be done and do it!

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am compassionate and empathize with my clients. I am there to help them, YES but I want them to feel that I care about them and will be there when they need me. I became a caregiver and chose this path for myself because I know what it feels like to have no one beside me and also does my grandmother and that's why I have been by her side . Its something about putting a smile on another persons face or picking them up when they aren't feeling so well, gives me a certain type of strength and confidence knowing that I can do that for a person that needs it the most. I also take my work very seriously and I am a very reliable and flexible.
