Hi, This is part of my cover letter that goes with my Resume; it gives you a very good idea of my desire to be a caregiver.......... I am interested in a position as an IP Caregiver. I am resourceful, compassionate, and outgoing. I believe in excellence and have dedicated myself and my talents to be successful in the endeavor of home healthcare. I am an Artist, and began employment as an caregiver to care for my mother who was elderly, disabled, and suffering from chronic illnesses. She did not want to be placed in a nursing home, but needed full-time care. In the course of her care I became knowledgea ble and proficient in the use of respiratory equipment and transfer devices. I became adept in skills of observation, documenting physical, behavioral, and medical information, managing and administering medication, and managing appointment and activity schedules. I worked with Doctors and medical staff to coordinate and implement treatment plans. Now, after 8 ½ years of caregiving experience, I am deeply motivated and committed to continue home healthcare for others. I want to provide quality care to clients with a wide range of disabilities, illnesses, special needs, and/or other challenges who want to continue to live in their homes with grace, dignity, and purpose. ... more
