I am resourceful, compassionate, and outgoing. I believe in excellence and have dedicated myself and my talents to be successful in the endeavor of home healthcare. I am an Artist, and began employment as an caregiver to care for my mother who was elderly, disabled, and suffering from chronic illnesses. She did not want to be placed in a nursing home, but needed full-time care. In the course of her care I became knowledgeable and proficient in the use of respiratory equipment and transfer devices. I became adept in skills of observation, documenting physical, behavioral, and medical information, managing and administering medication, and managing appointment and activity schedules. I worked with Doctors and medical staff to coordinate and implement treatment plans. Now, after 8 ½ years of caregiving experience, I am deeply motivated and committed to continue home healthcare for others. I want to provide quality care to clients with a wide range of disabilities, illnesses, special needs, and/or other challenges who want to continue to live in their homes with grace, dignity, and purpose.
