About Rachel

I am a fine quality Caregiver, for I put my heart into my care. Your Mother becomes my own Mother in that I listen to her, drawing out her needs, sorrows, memories, and joys. I am able to be a strong Companion whereby I encourage and uplift the client, reducing worry with positive thinking and reinforcement. I have a good sense of humor and am pleasant to be around. My job is about my client first. How may I serve this person? How may I bring color back into my client's life? I don't use my cellphone unless emergency, but am continually active with my client in many ways, such as taking pictures, creating memory albums for family, reading, interaction ongoing. I bring enthusiasm, graciousness and contentment to any Senior. I am highly moral, protective, on time, and aware of danger. I am loyal from the beginning of my assignment to the end. The families whose Mothers I have cared for trusted me alone with their Mother, as the only Caregiver with the exception of 1 current client for whom family has 4 caregivers in place for round the clock care. I do not use the hoyer lift, nor lift or carry clients, nor give medical care or nursing. I am happy to do light housekeeping, errands, shopping, banking, meal prep, stand by assistance, toileting, showering, dressing, grooming, and give good quality companionship. I am unable to work in a smoking environment. I love animals. As well, I bring 24 years executive secretary experience to you, should you need organization or detailed tasks performed, such as filing, sorting, etc. Im interested in working for you on Tuesday through Friday, for at least 4 hours up to 8 hours daily. I will work 1 day alone up to 4 days depending upon the hours you need care. I look forward to meeting you! Sincerely, Rachel

'Essentially it is a lesson of love. Because if you can not love, you can not be a caregiver. \\" It's the greatest gift you can give another human being. To give yourself, to give your life for other people. I became a caregiver because i wanted a career that had the potential to make a difference in someones life. I enjoy making someone smile and doing little things to make a persons day better. Being a Caregiver/CNA for 10 years has helped me in so many ways, i have worked in Hospitals, Nursing homes, Private Duty , Hospice care and also with Disabled children. I love what I do. Taking care of people that need my help gives me joy in my heart. I feel it is very important to have someone in you life that truly cares and makes you feel important. A personal achievement I am proud of : Attained \\" Caregiver of the year award \\" by constantly maintaining excellence in my care to residents.

My primary concern as a caregiver is to make sure that my client is able to function at the best of their ability and to make sure that they are having the highest quality of life that they are able to have. I am not only there for my client but I am also there for the family (such as: to let them go grocery shopping, are just to be another set of ears at doctor appointments or for the family. After a few days with the client and the family I begin to consider them family. I have a great amount of nurturing and empathy, some say I care to much but I give 150% to my clients and families. I enjoy order and dispensing medication, relating to my clients, enjoy the pass and working on family history. I have no parents or grandparents so my clients kind of fill these roles. I have been a first responder, EMT, CPR Instructor, nurse's aide, and medication aide. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is having a D.N.S. that I work with for a long time trust me to teach new nurse's the medication routine and to be a charge nurse. As a personal care giver the highest praise I can be given is for my client to tell me I must be an angel and that they love me.
