About Victoria

Hi, thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me. I am seeking M-F 10 to 2, but I can be A.M. flexible as long as I get off by 2 for my other job. Giving care to someone is more like being their greatest advocate, they let me know what they want, need, and can do in their lives and I do my best to achieve this with them. I am very adaptable to follow protocol, or be spontaneous within the allotted times. Safety, respect, listening, assisting are all just basic musts and needs I strive to offer. I am pretty strong, love exploring or relaxing at home. I enjoy making those in my circle feel cared for and unconditionally accepted, it gives me a peace. While medical assisting for six years, I noticed a decline in the kind of care for the vulnerable and assisted patients - It weighed so heavy on me that I decided to change careers. I found a new passion for learning about all the diagnosis' I saw in the clinic and how people adapted to living with them daily. I took every hard case on... loving the challenges. I took as many syndromes and specialty needs as I could and that helped me learn how to approach each person as an individual no matter what their challenges were. All that said, I have many moments that I can say are my favorites, but it comes down to being blessed by those I work for. I stated earlier I am adaptable, and that means I bring a nice and varied background, but I am more interested in learning about the next person who selects me and how to weave my experiences to make their life better, maybe even fuller any way I can. I do not choose to transport in my vehicle due to insurance costs, but I will be happy to use your car, take the transit, or walk. Thank you! Vicky

Worked with adult clients in their homes to help maintain independence despite their diagnosis or physical limitations. I preferred to stay on call to be able to interact and care for such a variety of adults from 18 to I believe the oldest was in his early 90's. This covered almost the full gamut of abilities intellectually emotionally and physically and a variety of specialized syndromes and extreme behaviors as well. It was a difficult decision to leave for the more intimate care I provide now, but it was a great choice after all.

Caregiving isn't for everyone, you have to have a great love for it and your clients! I've received Employee of the Month and Nurse Delegation certificate. I work for 2 locations under my company because I enjoy working so much! I truly enjoy the people I work for! I enjoy cleaning, organizing, grocery shopping, helping people get around and anything else I'm able to assist with! I love animals too!

Hello, I have been doing care giving for 18 years. I started out with my son whom is disabled. The reason I got into this field was mainly my son, but after wards became to love and have a passion for it. There is nothing better then a feeling knowing that the one you love is in good hands and will be taken care of the way you would want them to be taken care of. I am passionate, caring, calm and have a lot of patience's. The one thing I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is the reward knowing that you have helped someone's day be brighter even if it was sitting down having a conversation, or cleaning up. I have worked in Adult Foster Care homes as well as Group homes supporting individuals with mental and developmental disabilities. I have also worked one on one in peoples person homes helping with ADL's meal prep, house cleaning. I started out young house keeping as my mother owned her own business , and I learned from her. I have many years experience in house keeping. However, I know everyone is different and likes things done their way. Show/tell me once and that's all it takes.
