I became a caregiver because I have seen so many elder people without family support that I wanted to be the next best thing. I love the connection you get with the clients. It feels genuine. I'm proud of finishing high school and knowing where I wanna go in life. I am a wife and a mother of three. I, one day wanna open my own business helping the youth in my community with daily emergency support.
What makes me a great care giver are my mothering instincts. I have a sweet and funny personality. Easy to communicate with and get along with. When my mom had a stroke that took out her whole right side. We had a nurse to come take care of her. The nurse was horrible she did not care about my mom what so ever. So I quit my job and became a full-time caregiver to my mother. After my mother had recovered and was able to take care of herself I decided I would like to be a caregiver for other people whom are looking for someone to love and care for their family member in the same manner they would. What I love most is being able to care and help someone else just like mom.
Skills & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

I'm a mother of three children. When I'm not caring for them I'm assisting my father, a 62 year old retired coal miner who also has spinal stenosis along with the early ages of lung cancer. I wanted to become a caregiver after my mother had two brain aneurysms in 2013 & I spent the following year assisting her until she made a full recovery. After that my father was diagnosed with lung cancer on top of having spinal stenosis from an accident in the coal mines. I assist him and my mother both, daily with house chores, appointment reminders & scheduling as well as food preparation. I genuinely love interacting with people and knowing that I helped make someone's day a little easier.

I have worked for Home Instead, Rescare, and privately for the past 5 years. I am CPR Certified and First Aid Certified I have worked with Dementia Patients
I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. Also, I like older adults and feel I can get along well with a variety of elders. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. Lastly, I feel that when you are older, I would want someone like myself there to help me if I needed help.
I have a passion for helping people. In choosing my future career, I wanted something that I felt would bring me joy as well as help those who need it most, so I chose social work. In taking the courses I have learned so much, and I have compassion for every person. I enjoy getting to know people and finding their interests and making them my own.
