I have been a caregiver most of my adult life starting as a CNA in the 1980's and then moving on to the Emergency Services Field as an EMT/Paramedic to most recently a Medical Assistant , Lab Assistant and Home Health Care for Seniors. I found my calling with working and caring for our most precious people, our seniors. I am compassionate, level headed and patient with a sense of humor and l would love to bring safety and fun into your home.

Very caring and out going. I grew up with a physically challenged brother who needed complete care. this taught me to be compationate and aware of boundaries. Caring for those how I would like to be cared for. Took CNA course while raising 2 children and working full-time. This January 28/2019 completed CBRF certification.
I'm UPDATING my profile today, 6-3-2019, to reflect an upcoming change in my life: I plan to move in with my 86 year old Dad, next month. He loves to drive (he has 4 cars!) but his doctor has suggested that he not drive alone to unfamiliar places. (He has memory loss and gets turned around easily.) What I love about the Carelinx platform is that it allows me to offer my services as a professional caregiver to families that need my help while being able to care for my family members, too. I have over 17 years of experience as a caregiver and a sympathetic ear, especially when it comes to caring for elderly parents! I can understand how you feel because I'm going through and have gone through many of the same things. (My Mom passed away in May 2014.) Feel free to contact me if you need a caregiver for 2-3 days per week, for 4-6 hour afternoon shifts or if you just need to talk to someone willing to listen. May the Lord bless and comfort you through these challenging times. - Stephanie
I'm very trustworthy, honest and kind person. I became a caregiver because my grandmother suffer health issues that couldn't not be met in a traditional senior living facility so I took several class to learn all the cares she needed at the time. However one thing that I enjoy the most as a caregiver is smiles and laughter from a patient that's comfortable with the way I care for them. One thing that I person achievement that I'm proud of is giving back to others that needs help.
I'm a great caregiver because I'm dependable, loyal, compassionate and observant with a sunny personality. I became a caregiver because I love serving and engaging clients in arts, crafts and activities to help bring joy and laughter. My personal achievements range from my 17+ years experience in providing care for brain injured men and 5 years experience providing care for Dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I'm proud to say that for 26 years I have had the pleasure of taking care of my son who has Cerebral Palsy, yet he is a High School graduate, a 3-time Special Olympic Gold Medalist, and he works part-time.
What makes me a great caregiver? I love people and just knowing am able to give back to my elders is amazing. I am a caregiver to everyone my own children, others children, elders and people on the street by feeding them and just assisting them where its needed , giving words of encouragement. Around the community people call me mama/ mama nay-nay or grandma. I feel God put me on this earth to care for others besides myself. I have always put others needs before my own. I will go without just so someone else is able to be okay. Am humble, funny, lovable and caring. Am very proud of all my accomplishments but most of all Receiving my Masters in Human Services was one I was most proud of. Loving others is what I do best.
I really enjoy taking time from my personal life to help someone else in need. I find I learn a lot working as a caregiver which gives me joy to know I'm able to be a caregiver. I find that I like the most about being a caregiver is developing new relationships and being able to carryout my duties as a caregiver. My most personal achievement is being able to help my daughter spell her name so she can be success in school. I'm very creative in my everyday life to ensure I learn new skills. My biggest drive is staying positive and strive for better to obtain goals in life.
What I think makes me a good caregiver is that i am loyal, patient, compassionate to whom i work with becasuse I know people that need the help have it hard. So to have a trustworthy hand to help with ever day need is why i feel this was made for me. I became a caregiver because of my sister whom have been in a group home all her life an also because of my grandmother whom passed in 2010. What I like about being a caregiver is the people you met an the life lessons you learn while doing you work.

I am Mommy to 5 Children. One is a teen-ager with Autism, one has a serious heart condition, I also take care of two people one mentally disabled, one physically disabled. I am a very patient, understanding Women, I work full-time at Wisconsin activity center and care for 26 clients, feeding, changing, each with varying degrees of mental, physical disabilities. Am working towards a C. N. A. license. I believe good work will come back to Me, providing quality loving care to those that need it is extremely rewarding! I have found nothing else I have done more rewarding than this journey, calling it work just doesn't fit. Providing confidence to My clients family's that they are getting proper care is a wonderful reward.
I am by nature a nurturing individual, my own Grandmother would tell me to stop hovering and go offer help to someone else...she also frequently told me, until the day she passed, "Sarah, you would really be good working with old people". The elderly/frail population is the most I have worked with, but I'm by far not limiting myself to this.
I have 4 beautiful children whom I take care of everyday with not one complaint. I love being a mom and caring for them so I decided being a caregiver was a great job for me. I have worked in this field for over 10yrs Private pay and through companies and I have managed to still be in love with what I do.
