About Kelsey

I became a Caregiver because I wanted to do something with my life that would positively impact others. I have found that helping someone who otherwise could not help themselves to be very rewarding experiences. However, the best part about being a Caregiver are the little moments when you hold someones hand who really needs it, or make someone laugh who's having a rough day. Those are the times I feel that I make the most difference in their lives. I cannot think of a specific personal achievement, but I do take pride in what I do. Whether it's assisting in the middle of an emergency or if it's being able to give dignity to someone who is in the process of moving on, I am proud to play that role in their lives. I was brought up in a family that showed me how to love others and to take care of those in need. I was an only child until the age of eleven when my parents decided to become foster parents. We ended up adopting four teenagers and had guardianship of one more by the time I was just out of high school. My siblings are very dear to me and are the best possible thing my parents could have done to show me how to live my life.
