I'm 30 years old, and have been living in Thomasville Georgia my whole life. Working with elderly people has always been a passion for me, to make a loving/safe/comfortable lifestyle for my people I care for. I really enjoy being a caregiver because I can make a difference in people lives and show them that it is more BEAUTIFUL/KIND/LOVING/TRUSTING AND SO MUCH MORE. I am placed here to protect and care for my elderly and each and every way. I also understand all the difficulties/challenges that comes with each and every person. Bathing, cleaning, cooking, and etc comes naturally and I enjoy doing it. I always go up and beyond the call of duty no matter what it is. I have been a compassionate and caring professional Certified Nursing Assistant for over 12 years. Waking up each day to go take care of your loved ones is what gives my life purpose and true meaning. When I am not busy being a caregiver, I spend my time volunteering at the local food banks and feeding the homeless. I am a published author of a Self-help book intended to try and help others deal with the cares and stresses of everyday life. I am patient, experienced and I love caring for families and their loved ones. I have worked with bed bound individuals to more mobile individuals going to their appointments. I was the primary caregiver for my grandparents for 5 years. Cooking for them, helping them bath, cleaning and assisting them with their medications and making sure they were well taken care of at all times. Taking them to appointments and just helping them in their everyday lives. I have also worked with individuals with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other challenges to help them live their best lives and have the best quality of life. Being a caregiver gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment in knowing I helped someone else have a great day and just putting a smile on their face. There is no greater feeling than caring for someone and knowing that you helped them have a good day. I am so proud that I have been available and a source of help for all the families I have worked with. I am dedicated, prompt, and truly love what I do. I recently graduated with my masters degree in health administration. And I am studying for my Long Term Care/Nursing Home Administrator Test. I truly want to spend my life working for the service of our seniors and all our loved ones who face challenges to let them know they are not alone. They deserve to live their best lives. And to have a great quality of life. That is my goal and what gets me up everyday knowing I can make a difference.

I am currently a sophomore nursing student at Oakwood University. I chose the position of caregiver because it will give me a great opportunity to connect with clients and learn to meet their needs in the most effective way. I have been on many clinical rotations in the hospital as well as assisted living facilities. I am proud to report that I've received Honor Roll awards for all of my semesters in higher education.
