I enjoy helping people continue to pursue their interests in a safe and comfortable enviroment. I enjoy the flexabilty of hours. I am a patient, caring, and positive person. I have been a caregiver over 30 years. I feel I bring alot of experience and knowlege, and joy to my clients. One of my personal achievements was taking a client out of state to visit her last living sibling. She enjoye the trip immensely.

I love helping out whenever possible. I grew up helping to care for my sister who was born with Down Syndrome. She has to be looked after the majority of the day and needs help with doing daily tasks. Caring for others is what I was born into and I enjoy Taking care of others. I love to help care for people because it brings me happiness to help give relief to the families as well as the clients.

I love being a good interpersonal caregiver., love knowing that I'm giving back. What makes me a great caregiver I'm always in a good mood and I have infinite respect for my clients. I always try to make sure my clients are doing well and are happy. I will do my best to leave my client in better condition by the time my shift is up. I love listening to music, playing games, watching movies, and I also enjoy the little things in life. Since I live in a beautiful area, I do my best to take my clients out to the beach or on trails, pretty much anywhere that has a beautiful scene. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was caring for my mother when she had surgery. I cared for her for about 4 months then decided to pursue a medical career. My biggest achievement is getting an A.S. in medical assisting from Cuesta College and my state of California Phlebotomy license

I am a skilled caregiver with over 20 years of experience. I have excellent references and was honored with a Caregiver of the Year award in 2007. My salary is negotiable depending on the skillset required for the job. I am available for overnight work as well as 24 hour shifts.

I first became a caregiver one year ago when my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia. I worked with her to keep her vain activity up, I walked her, and helped feed when needed. As her condition worstened she need medication Almost every two hours. I preformed light house cleaning and I tried to read to her twice a day. I believe I realized I found my calling to help people whom can no longer help themselves. I enjoy bringing joy to my client's and seeing there faces light up when I come in.

As a kid I was extremely close with my grandmother and I'm sure you can imagine the pain when I had watched her go threw the early stages of dementia. As my grandmother got caregiver, after caregiver, after caregiver. I began to feel frustrated and felt the need to take it a pond myself to get hired threw her facility and start caring for her. I always made sure she was never left wet in the bed, that her medication was forgot, or even to brush her teeth. I tried and still do try to treat my residents like I want to be treated when I have trouble caring for myself. My grandmother has sense gone to a full time care place but I found a passion in taking care of her. I now work full time as a care assistant at Avila Senior Care and I look forward to expanding my knowledge to the best of my abilities.

I credit my passion for being a caregiver to my mother. Before her physical problems stopped her, she was an exemplary RN. From the ripe age of 15, I accompanied her to some of her home health patients. I believe this is what planted the seed for my ardor of elderly care. I truly desire being a caregiver for reasons far beyond a paycheck. I've learned in my short sweet life that the intrinsic rewards of helping another are incomparable. The joy of maybe seeing my clients smile or their eyes light up again with life is absolutely incredible. There are no words to describe the magic behind those powerful feelings. In these past 11 years, I've had the opportunity to learn about several levels of care, from light assistance with activities of daily living, to the combative and the terminally ill. I am experienced in Alzheimer's/dementia care and have also cared for quadriplegics and stroke patients among others. Through compassion and dedication, I am able to connect with and enrich the lives of all my clients, physically and otherwise.
