Hi, I'm Hannah! I am a pre-nursing student at Chico State but want to gain experience as a home health aide. I have been a babysitter for seven years, but also have the geriatric experience, as I volunteered at an Alzheimer's and dementia nursing home. I can provide the warmth of a companion along with the smart, careful actions of a trained caregiver. I'm highly passionate about patient care and the health field, so feel free to contact me!

I have enjoyed assisting and being with elder people for a long time. I have taken care previously approximately a dozen clients single men and women and one couple also over 13 years. I was raised in the Air Force and around adults much of my life with being the youngest everywhere I traveled. I have really enjoyed taking care of others and listening about others lives and their stories and helping them enjoy their lives as much as possible. Assisting others in feeling better with their lives with assistance as wanted or needed. I am responsible, honest and thorough and follow through to make sure I do what is wanted and needed. I have good credit and am a careful driver. I love gardening, plants and all different types of animals I have had many in the past. I enjoy humor, science and history of our past and present.

From a young age I've been caring for others - siblings, family members, neighbors, in-home childcare and candy-striping. Professionally, I was a Caregiver for a time at a local assisted living facility and entered the world of in-home care in 2019. In-home caregiving fills the needs of my clients but also a need in myself. I've tried other professions but just didn't find it to be as fulfilling. One of my clients who has worked with several care providers over the years told me that I'm just wired for home care. He said that some people do this for work while others do it as in inner calling. I think that fits. I'm a quick learner. I'm patient and attentive. I'm dedicated, reliable, and trustworthy. I'm a clear communicator and a good listener. I have an intuitive side that helps me assess when it's time to slow down or wait. I believe in client-centered care; encouraging independence where possible and gently supporting where not. I truly enjoy this work and have a positive attitude. I've assisted people with advanced disabilities, various forms of dementia, recovering from injuries or surgery, navigating end of life, and those needing help with basic household tasks. I look forward to talking with you about how I might help meet your needs or those of your loved ones.

I have enjoyed my Nursing career immensely , and am also enjoying my retirement. I do miss the altruistic rewards of basic patient care. I maintain my current license as I do volunteer for Medical First Aid work. Finally , after many years of working in the high stress field of Nursing , I have achieved work/life balance. This is why I am choosing to give basic care .

I enjoy meeting new people, learning what their preferences are and tailor as much as is appropriate my care to this. I am a homemaker by nature and love being in homes. I like making people's environments comfortable and cheery. I enjoy helping and I am dedicated to performing care in a patient and considerate manner.

I have been working as an RN for almost three years but in total I have seven years of senior care experience. I have experience in multiple care settings: in home private care, hospice, acute care/hospital, assisted living and memory care, and adult day care. I am confident in my abilities to provide personal care, medication management, symptom management, and related duties. I am willing to perform house miles long tasks as necessary. I currently work full time M-F 8-5 but am flexible with my free time outside that range.
