I have always loved helping people and animals since I was a little girl. I grew up wanting a job that would allow me to help others. I love being with people and have enjoyed working in the medical field. I am highly experienced in healthcare and possess a variety of skill sets. I enjoy making others happy and being able to go home knowing I made a difference in someone's life is the best feeling.

I am driven to assist those in need of aid. I would like to gain more experience in caring for persons with disabilities in order to better prepare me for the medical field and dealing with patients. I enjoy making people's lives easier and more comfortable. A personal achievement I am most proud of is obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout in The Boy Scouts of America Troop #380 on January 15, 2014.

Hello everyone! I have been professionally caregiving for 9 years now. I have always cared for others from a young age, that's what led me to this field. I enjoy taking care of others and making them feel important, secure, heard and being able to be that positive light and comfort they look for in a companion. I love taking walks/hikes in nature and being around animals. I enjoy cooking, singing and laughing it's the most important medicine in our life. :)

My name is Madeline Wilson I have been a Professional Care Attendant for two years. Have experience in all stages of dementia and Altzeimers, hospice care, post surgery, total transfers, ambulation assistance and all of the basics (meal prep and feeding, housekeeping, med reminders, etc) I wanted to be a caregiver because I love the people involved. It feels wonderful to have hoped someone at the end of the day. Bejng a caregiver fits my schedule better than any other line of work. I Also have two children and am experienced in childcare and special needs care. I am proud of my achievements as a caregiver and love the relationships I developed with my clients and their families.

When our family moved to Carlsbad, I started to volunteer at the Carlsbad senior center and help out in the kitchen preparing lunch and serving coffee. I also worked at LEGOLAND during the busy Christmas season when they needed help the most in the childrens outdoor play structure at LEGOLAND as a seasonal employee this year. I understand Lupus and autoimmune disorders. I have friends that have lupus and know how hard it is to live with it I had experience with a companion and helped her being mobile out of her home during the day.going out to lunch, coffee, walks in town, running errands, mall walking, or doing things she likes to do to keep her active. I also watched her home while she was on short trips to visit her family. Other services I am available for: Childcare anyone that has children or grandchildren during holidays, helping out with holiday shopping, house sitting, watching your pets while on vacation there in there own home so they do not have to be in some strange place, errands, gift wrapping, meal prep for balanced meals. I have a nutri bullet I can bring over and make smoothies and soups! YUMMY!!! I can take you to your local doctor and be an advocate. I am a 3rd year college undergraduate student at Folsom Lake College studying Psychology. I have expierence in Early Childhood Education and would love to widen my horizion of knowledge and skills. At home my grandmother has Althziemer's so I have expierence of dealing with day to day activities, etc. I have not quite decided what I would like to do with my Psychology career, but anything that involves helping others, learning new things everyday and putting smiles on other people's faces will make me happy throughout life.

I am dedicated to enabling each individual to live in comfort and dignity. I am easy going and personable, with an upbeat personality and good sense of humor. Looking brighten the days of those I care for.

I have been caring for seniors in their own homes for over 20 years. I have had a variety of cases with every kind of illness. I enjoy helping seniors to enjoy quality of life in the home where they have raised families or enjoyed retirement. I have had full responsibility of med management, transportation to Dr. appointments, physical therapy, grocery shopping and housekeeping. I have supplied companionship, meal planning and preparation and enjoyed sharing in the rich histories of the seniors I have been honored to serve. I believe that I am a strong advocate for seniors and passionate about dignity and quality of life.

Caregiving has been a passion of mine for far as I can remember. It started when I lived with my grandparents. I saw how they were treated by family, friends and caregivers and it made me want to help others and give what others deserve in their final stages of life. Something that I wish to fulfill in my life time would be to help as many people as I can, and to give part of my heart to as many people possible who would appreciate the care. If I could help an individual and their family in their time of need while giving them comfort would fulfill my dreams. I believe I have an abundance of love to give and I feel like it is why I was put on this planet. I have had some experience, but not as much as I would like. For the past couple of years I have been going to school for nursing and feel like it's suitable for my life again. Until then I would like to start working on some of my dreams-caregiving. One last thing that I do feel I should mention is that it is important for the patient to feel like I would be suitable for them, and for them to feel like it's a good fit, but for me to as well. This is important because the patient should always be happy and satisfied, but also when the caregiver is happy to be paired with the patient they can give the best possible care.

My name is Atu Schaaf. The way that I am is a very outgoing, independent, caring, loving individual. What makes me strive to become a caregiver is my family and the way that I was raised, the elderly are the ones that are needed the care the most. And for me that's why I believe I was brought into this world, to be that help in need. It attracts me when I see that the help that I'm doing for my future or current clients are in peace and comfort with the work I'm accomplishing. I began experience in caregiving assisting my father and aunt care for my grandfather. I have been caregiving on and off for the past 6 years. I am a great companion. Love to listen to stories, hear about clients' families, listen to clients favorite music, movies and tv shows.

I have experience with clients with Parkinson's, post surgery, Alzheimer's, and bed bound. I love being able to make another persons day a little brighter. I completely understand that clients are going to have bad and good days and love being able to comfort and take care of them.

I'm 47 yrs old . I've been teaching for 23 yrs in elementary ,preschool and infant classes.. For the last 5 years I was working full time to part time working in school and taking care of my 89 yr old aunt.I went part time when my aunt had a stroke 3 yrs ago .I fully take care of her now in the Bay Area on weekends Leave Friday nights and I'm there till Wednesday afternoon.Im looking for some part time work to supplement some income and still take care of my aunt .Teaching is not optional now.I provide meals on a daily bases for my aunt ,bathing,doctor appt.,recreational time which includes walking etc.shopping and many more .

I began working as a private caregiver a few years ago. At first I was intimidated but soon realized caregiving came fairly naturally for me. Hello my name is Amber. I've been a caregiver for over three years so far! And for the same couple not including an Alzheimer's patient. I started out not knowing much, but I was trained by the best caregivers ever. It is NOT a simple job. You need the compassion for this type of job! It's not "okay I need a job, so I'll do caregiving" no! You will absolutly dislike it and the people your careing for will let you go in an instant. I'm saying all of this because I have and still work with a couple of caregivers that just sit around all day without giving attention to the clients. I consider myself one of the best caregivers not only because I give and ask my clients for what they want but because I also keep their surroundings clean, and pamper them to a extent. I exercize, shower, do makeup, serve food throughout the day, make appointments, and take them. I do more than what a typical caregiver does. I go below and beyond for my clients, and that's what makes me a great caregiver.
