I have been a caregiver my whole life It started with observing my Mother. I don't reserve my caregiving to just people, it just requires care. I like to bring Joy to those who have lost so much, and they are usually the nicest people. In several cases I have been one of the last people to help them feel "normal" . My ideal job would be for someone who wants to "get better". I have great energy for thatAt the end of the day you feel good by helping to stretch out normal It can get stressful, but i enjoy what I do.. I have been at the feet of people who are passing, and the feet of someone who died and returned. I can help with physical therapy, am a good cook, and know our hospitals. I can do far more than clean.

I have a flexible personality, I adapt as much as I can to the needs of the patients. I do work with the families and I walk with them in the acceptance of caring for an elder member of the family. I'm very diligent with my work and I strive to be better at every opportunity I come across. I enjoy helping others and I'm proud of knowing that the impact I made in people's life is in a positive way. I look forward to always learn something new and my continue growth in this career.

Hello, I'm Nicole and I was raised In Germany and Denmark before moving to the USA with my mom in ...well a long time ago. Growing up in a diverse social service worker household, where my Summers and all my school breaks were spent in camps and day cares with kids/adults with special needs, I never considered a career in anything BUT taking care of others. I remember my Great grandma going through the stages of Alzheimers and not fully understanding this, but feeling that she needed lots of love. While so many people are unhappy about their employment I feel blessed to have mine. I'm happy to say that I love doing what I do and I get to do it 24/7It is not a job to me it is my life, my history and my future. I am a highly energetic woman and I love to bring joy to others. At the same time, I'm patient and compassionate and I respect that everyone's situation is unique and needs to be treated as such. I spent nearly 20 years in case management and I came to realize how much I missed Direct Care, especially after taking care of my daughter. One of my favorite sayings is " It is an honor to take care of the ones that once took care of us' I have many many years of experience in a very diverse Social Service background and I don't shy away from any responsibilities. I'm very charismatic helpful and a great listener. What attracted me is being able to help those who need care I feel that helping people is my calling and what I do best. What I enjoy best is just the experience and connection with different people. A personal achievement I'm proud of is going back to school after taking a break and graduating.I know a-lot of people don't return to school once they stop.But I believe in myself and continued I just completed my Associates and I'm now on the road to completing my bachelor's.

Hi, my name is April Gutierrez. I have been working as a caregiver for about 6 years. Previous to that I worked for Kaiser and an ob/gyn clinic. I have experience with dementia and stroke patients. Also, patients with cirrhosis of the liver. I decided to become a caregiver because I enjoy helping people. The thing I like the most about this job is that I get to assist people while they remain in the comfort of their own home and that I'm helping them keep as much as their independence as possible. I am a student at Fullerton college and hope to one day become a doctor so that I can continue to help people. I am still able to work full time.

My first job at 16 years of age was at a nursing home as a nurse's aide. I absolutely loved it. I formed a bond with many of the elderly there. So after early retirement from teaching, I knew I wanted to work with the elderly again but more one on one as I have been doing. I feel I am an excellent caregiver because all of my former clients have rated me a 10 when the company asks for feedback. I also go above and beyond. Making sure the house is cleaned thoroughly every day on my down time from assisting my client. I like to cook and bake for them and really share great conversations and try to get them encouraged to do activities, even if its only small activities they can do to keep them stimulated and enjoy life.

I enjoy working alongside elderly and the infirm. I have a lot of patience with individual who require special attention. Since I was 18 and my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and diabetes I was tasked with assisting her until she passed away in 2012. I have since continued working with our aging adults who have various conditions that require assistance.

I began caring for my autistic sister when I was 18 years old, since then I've loved caring for those in need. Not only children but adults as well. I like to build a bond with them make them feel like Family. I used to be very impatient but with time I'm proud to say that being a caregiver has made me a patient person. I have to assist them in every way possible. As a medical technician I am also in charge of the medicine of about 70+ residents. I also make sure that all my residents are feed, bathed, and dressed. Greetings :) My name is Sioana Fieeiki, but everyone calls me Jojo! I can be very quiet at times, but you can feel the love and good vibes that I come with. I love to be happy and share that happiness with others by simply helping out with whatever I can. Determination, kindness & genuine love is what I live by. I'm determined to build a friendship with my client. I am kind to my client at all times. I show genuine love to my clients. Eventually, my clients become family to me . I've been a caregiver for 6-7 years now. and have worked with numerous of families throughout the years. My goal is to always make sure my client and their family are satisfied with me at all times. I've worked in different fields since high school such as a cashier, a cook, customer service reps, etc. and have never really found any joy in it. A little bit about me: I am a mother of three grown children. Proud grandmother of five. I have successfully run a household and thrive in this atmosphere. It is what I am most passionate about. I am also a die hard sports fan, hockey and soccer in particular. I have worked with the elderly doing companion care giving for 6+ years. I have taken care of children for over 35 years. I have worn many hats in my role as caregiver. Personal assistant is just one of them. I am very experienced in using a PC and record keeping, making sure the bills are organized and paid.
