Hi I'm Roger. I've been a caregiver for 10+ years. I've worked with people from all walks of life. With various disabilities and mental states. I tend to be a hit the ground running kinda caregiver. If something needs to be done, I like to do my best to ensured that it gets done properly. I'm always willing to help so long as my client's and my safety are always maintained.

Ever since I was young I volunteered in hospice facility's dressing up as Santa passing out presents to singing Christmas carols to residents. I have worked in bedded facility's assisting multiple residents as well. I grew up with a grandmother that had Rheumatoid Arthritis and her hands were deformed from it. So I had to help her do certain daily activities due to the the crippling affect it had on her hands. I'm a happy person who enjoys music listening, writing recording, reading as well. I have always had a giving heart and wanted to be of help in some way and helping others live out daily needs is a great way to accomplish that. A personal achievement I'm proud of is I have 2 classes left and I'll have two A.S degrees from MJC. Another moment I'm proud of is my Hobby of creating YouTube videos I landed on national television in a music video and was seen on Vh1 and Vh1Soul.

Being a caregiver to help seniors in their activities of daily living is something that I really enjoy doing. As a new caregiver I've learned that residents need the help in reminding them in some things. I would love to continue to do this. I'm very organized, companionate, and very patient. I want to be an RN so starting a caregiver will be the 1st step to my career.

I got into caregiving because I always wanted to be in the medical profession and I liked how caregiving worked one day I want to finish school and become an RN. I think my empathy and compassion helps me be a good caregiver l. I enjoy helping people the most with caregiving. One achievement I'm proud of is learning how to extract urine through catheters and how to conduct bowel care regiments

I have worked with and cared for a larger Alzheimer's patient for 20 years + can lift heavier patients. Have good bed side manner and a no nonsense attitude. Yet compassionate and fun loving. Love animals, children and old folks.

Hey there everyone! My name is Riley Jaxon Spears and I'm a United States Army veteran who spent time both on active duty as well as the reserves. My experience in health care began with my military career as a 92L petroleum laboratory specialist. After some time I became a 68c practical nursing assistant, which lead to me beginning work as a Direct Support Professional for developmentally disabled adults and children upon my Honorable Discharge. My background has built a set of core values that I use in my professional life such as being reliable, honest, and compassionate to all those I work with. Client or coworker or stranger. Maintaining that discipline allows me to deliver professional, dependent and empathetic service to all my patients/clients. I became a caregiver because I love and enjoy the work I do. I consider myself to be a compassionate, professional, responsible, and reliable person. Working with elderly people makes my job extremely rewarding. I find a deep sense of satisfaction something hard to find in any other job. Their stories are the best as well as their pictures. It is a big satisfaction knowing that I can make a difference in their lives.

There are personality traits that I have being compassionate, respectful and good listener to my clients. I have a medical background in Nursing that is very important in taking care of someone who suffered chronic and other health issues. Most importantly, I devoted myself for being a caregiver. I have so many years work experiences in taking care of clients and I really enjoy doing it. I'm really good in taking care of somebody with dementia or memory loss and Alzheimer's (10 years experience). In addition, I know how to follow directions and instructions with my clients.

I am proud ro say I love what I do I am a very passionate and dedicated person and helping others help themself is a great feeling My grandma was an inspiration to me being she was a nurse herself but sad to say now she battling dementia. At the end of my day it feels good to know I helped somebody that truly needs me its brings a great joy to my heart

Caregiving for me was a concept introduced early in my life. My grandmother, for the entirety of my life, was bedridden and crippled from severe rheumatoid arthritis. I was the oldest of the children so very early on I was bestowed the responsibility of my grandmother's care, as well as my siblings so the adults could work. Caring for other people and filling the gaps where they might need help caring for themselves is something I have become familiar and experienced with, and also recieve a great deal of satisfaction from. It is my perspective that helping elderly and people with disabilities is not only a necessary job in our society, but also a privileged one in which you can contribute directly to the quality of someone's life. In addition to caregiving I have worked as a physical fitness instructor at several prominent gyms, and have many recreational skills such as art and gardening, which can be applied to the benefit of my clients.

What attracted me to being a caregiver is growing up with my great grandparents, I've always been Ken to growing up doing practices typical caregivers would achieve. After my mother got sick , l left high paying job, to takecare of my mother. And I'm glad what I did. It makes me happy and love to help eldery people.

It all started with my first nanny job. I was 19 a young mother of 1 and introduced to a family who I still work pt for 16 years later. There were gaps in my employment with them due to changes in all our lives over the years. In the first break I started working as a caregiver in a care home. After a few months I came to the conclusion it just wasn't the environment for me. I tried a few other jobs but I was always drawn to help people. In 2009 I became my grandmother's ft In home caregiver. I then realized others needed help in their homes also. At some points I had 3-4 clients throughout the day. I have done it all...cooking, cleaning, shopping, transportation, errands, appointments, I can even mow the lawn if needed. I have worked my schedule to care for kids early morning hours providing care and transportation. I usually work late mornings and afternoons with seniors. I am honest, reliable, and trustworthy. I care for all my clients as if they were my own family.

I became a caregiver because I love to help people. I love to help people who not only are learning to appreciate genuine help given but also appreciate the help to the fullest. I love being a caregiver because I get to be there for someone who maybe might not have anyone else. Companionship is always necessary. Sometimes it is hard to ask for help but when someone is not made to feel bad about asking they feel better about themselves. If I can bring a smile to someone's face then my day is complete. Sometimes a smile is all it takes. Working with the elderly is something that I have always enjoyed. I worked in the Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician for four years and dealt with so many different kinds of people but the elderly always gravitated towards me more then anyone. In fact my coworkers at the time were quite envious of me because I was liked best. :) I have always been one to want to help anyone in need which is why I am a Criminal Justice major. I am big on seeking justice for the families looking for answers who need closure.

I wanted to become a CNA because I enjoy helping the people around me. I truly love being there for my patients not only physically but also emotionally. I want to make a difference. Something I am proud of: being the Valedictorian of my CNA class of Spring 2015. I am a single mom with a beautiful baby girl. I love her more than anything.

Hello, my name is Yesenia Silva. I got into this business because of the joy that I get when I see that I can put a smile on someone's face. Not only do I like to help the elderly do their task, but I love to keep them company and for them to know that I can be someone that they can talk to. I decided that I wanted to be in this type of field because I'm currently enrolled at Modesto Junior College to become a Registered Nurse. It brings me lots of joy to be able to help others out and for them to know that I am here for them. If there is one thing that I am proud of myself it would definitely have to be me going to back school. I took a very long leave of absence and then I finally decided that I wanted a real education. And now I am finally where I want to be in my life, taking care of others.
