My personality traits that help me be a great caregiver, are that I am always optimistic . anyway that I can make things better I will try to the best of my ability, I always strive to go above and beyond for my clients. I enjoy helping my clients with everyday life and getting back strength and enjoying things that they have always loved doing. I became a caregiver because I love to help, I also enjoy building a trustworthy bond with my clients were they become like family.

Hi! I'm Linda Michelle Derbonne - a 55 year-old single woman. I've been in the caregiving industry for many years. I have one child. His name is Christian and he is 18 years old. He is in college in Monterey California. I'm very proud of him! I am currently an IHSS worker for the county of Santa Cruz (25 hrs per week) & Santa Clara (14 hours per week) My background has been checked and cleared by the state of California. I am a live-in caregiver. In addition to that I care for my mother in Santa Clara County 14 hours a week and work 4 hours a week in a Convalescent Hospital. I'm a very happy and patient person and I love being a caregiver. My live-in client has become verbally and physically abusive towards me and other members of her family. I am looking to replace that position.

I have now finished, after a year and a half, of taking care of my patient. We became best friends during that time. She has been transferred to a retirement facility in Santa Barbara. I am anxious and available to start another loving relationship with a new family. I am asking you to give me the opportunity to care for your loved one! I am a retired \\\\"nurse\\\\"...not a registered nurse...but worked for 18 years as a back-office \\\\"nurse\\\\" ....medical assistant for a family practice physician (10yrs) and 2 urologists (8yrs). Since then, I've cared for many people in their homes. I can provide many excellent references. I raised 8 children and realized early in my life that I am happiest when I am caring for others. Since my children are all grown and gone raising children of their own, I am alone and available to share my experience, knowledge and most importantly, my love of caring for others.

I became a caregiver after working as a medical assistant for five years. I decided to become a caregiver to provide quality care to seniors who want to continue to live in their homes. I enjoy working with people and ensuring that they receive care they deserve along with a healthy active lifestyle. As a caregiver I have continued my education to receive my associates in science degree and am working on my bachelors degree. I continue my education to keep myself updated on the ever changing needs for seniors and the changes in the health care field. This allows me to continue to provide the best care possible to my clients.
