Hi, My name is Antonea "Nia" Williams and I am 26 years old. I just saw your ad on craigslist, I was a nursing student in California until my mom passed away which made me move out here 2 months ago Id like to go back to school soon, I've worked in the medical field for the last 8 years of my life, I've worked at memory cares for end stage alzheimer's and dementia , SNF/ALF, In-home care and was also a house manager for and adult home for seniors with disabilities both mental and physical as well as end of life care. Every person I've worked with has become my family, I remember everyone's names both with us and not with us so I understand what it is to be a companion as well as a care provider. I have my med tech certification as well as the ability to pass boards for my CA CNA license and was almost done with nursing school I'm experienced in transfers and light exercise and stretching. I have my CPR and first aid certifications and I'm fully vaccinated for covid. I've worked at Pacifica Senior Living which is a memory care I worked with both end stage and early stage Alzheimer's and Dementia Riverside Post Acute which is a SNF/Skilled Nursing Facility The Grove Care and Wellness which is both a Skilled Nursing Facility and an Assisted Living Pricillas Place which is an adult care home which I was a house manager for I attended North-West College Riverside before my moms passing

I consider myself a great caregiver because I have spent my life taking care of others. I have been a preschool teacher, a stay-at-home mom for 20 yrs, and cared for the elderly at different points in my life. I have recently completed school and earned my massage therapist license #69983. My focus is on the elderly, ill, and dying. I am in the process of starting my own End-of-Life Care and Palliative Massage/Pain Management business. In the mean time, I volunteer with Hospice. I have multiple clients whom I see weekly for massage. I sit vigil with those who are passing so they do not pass alone. I also work part-time at a board and care facility. I am organized, hard-working, level-headed, positive, respectful, compassionate, trustworthy, caring, willing to learn, and possess common sense. I really enjoy and feel very comfortable working with clients with dementia. The key, I think, in dealing with clients with dementia is patience, compassion, and respect, not showing your frustration no matter how many times they ask the same question, and helping to allay their fears, of which they have many. I believe empathy and compassion are absolutely necessary because, God-willing, we will all be old some day. I have a sincere love for and am grateful for each and every client. I have a true passion for helping and caring for those who have difficulty or cannot care for themselves.

I became a caregiver at the age of 19 years old. My first job was at Park Marino Convalescent Center in Pasadena, Calif. I have a lot of love in my heart and a skill set to go with it. I have been helping people in the Health & Wellness industry most of my life and enjoy it. Recently fulfilled a 30 year dream (that started when I was a Medical Assistant), by graduating from Nursing School and passed the State Nursing Boards. I am now a LVN with 3+ years of experience, working in Urgent Care. I do have 5 years of experience working for a Doctor/Surgeon with a busy private office, with mostly Geriatric patients. Also certified in Therapeutic Touch for those at the end of life. I am a Hospice volunteer for Vitas for approximately 2+ years.

I became a caregiver initially to start on my nursing career. Being a caregiver allows me to interact with and care for my clients personally.
