Being a caregiver is more than just providing care to someone. Caring for another is about showing compassion and respect and being by their side. Patience is also a very important aspect of caring for others. My passion for helping others began during the time that I cared for my grandma who was diagnosed with skin cancer.

I am compassionate, attentive, caring toward senior/elderly . I am trustworthy, honest, reliable, and dependant in every day life. I have a personal relationship with God, but do not express spirituality upon others, without permission. I have my own transportion, auto insurance, and good driving record. I am considerate about clients personal lives, living environment, and comfort. My greatest focus, purpose, and goal, is my close relationship with God, my 2 daughters, and 8 grandchildren. I have been a caregiver for elderly hospice clients, active clients, and post surgery clients. I am a current registered IHSS Provider through Sacramento In Home Social Services, and have completed a mandatory background check. I have zero tolerance for elderly abuse and very protective with clients when out on errands, doctor visits, shopping, etc. I enjoy doing crafts of creating and sharing my experience with others. My prayer is that when my time comes, I too will retain a caring, compassionate, and dedicated caregiver as I commit myself to be while I am caring for clients I work with.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I can do what I believe in and I work hard in everything that I do so I could better myself. What really attracted me in to being a caregiver was my Grandma I started seeing changes in her ways and seeing her not able to do certain things anymore was a concern to me so I started helping her with things and making her meals at times and then I found myself doing it more often so I stuck with it. What I enjoy most is Helping others that can't Help themselves . I am proud becoming the young Lady that I am because I can Help others in their time in need when they can't do for themselves, and able to complete things in Life that I really Love doing.

I grew up with a family full of caregivers including my mother and her sisters. I've learned so much from them and I grew up to love being a caregiver. I love helping others as much as I can. I enjoy spending time with my clients and being able to help them and their families.

Hiiii my names Tina. I'm 19 years old born and raised in Sacramento California. Working with children has been something that's always come natural to me. I have Three younger siblings one of which was diagnosed with autism at two years old. He is 9 now, but for me at the age of 10 caring for a 2 year old with no sense of proper communication. You pick up a thing or two, on how to effectively communicate without words. Although my professional experience with caretaking has been with special needs adults. I have worked in three different nursing facilities in the past year and a half. (Bright star, ruthies home, and golden year senior care) two of which I'm still currently at. I can help with Travel and Cooking/Meal Preparation. Cleaning around the house. Transportation ect. I love aiding and helping others, it's been some thing that I've had to do my whole life. It's some thing that I'm very comfortable with, and that I truly enjoy. I have my certification in cpr and first aid.

I have been Caregiving since I was 16 years old. I have witnessed my mom take care of complete strangers as if they were her own family and it is something that has rubbed off on me. I am a peoples person and it makes caregiving a much more valued experience for me to be this way. I have an understanding that everyone's individual needs are different, and as a caregiver I have to be willing to take on the responsibilities that come with those needs. This is one of many traits that I believe make me a great caregiver. In my culture, it is the norm for parents to grow old and become dependent on their children or family members. But not everyone has family that is willing to take on such a task, and not everyone's familial circumstances allow for responsibilities with such great need. So it brings me joy, to be able to utilize what I have learned from my mother and my past caregiving experience to help families with their caregiving needs, whether it be for themselves, or their loved ones.
