My last gentleman was about six years he says I was angel always giving 110 of myself... His wife followed needing care which tookup my next three years! I am great at managing medication s and time. I starting caring for my mother who suffered from Thyroid Cancer at my early age of 14 years old, I found that I could assist her with ease with any type of care that she needed and I was proud to help, I later married a women that had a horrible accident and suffered from a broken spine, this was 15 years ago and I still care for her today. When I was 19 I got my CNA certificate and I realized that my passion was helping others especially senior citizens. I ran a child care for six years from 1994 until 2000. I worked for the county of San Luis Obispo as an addiction specialist through my internship for college and was hired as a paid intern at the same time I was also a caregiver. My last client I cared for had a tube feeding and ended up going into a senior home in September I've worked with a quadriplegic and I've worked for hospice care, palliative care, and I've also worked in facilities in the beginning of my licensing but ended up going independently through a referral service for home care in 2008. I feel Home Care is a better quality of care and because of that I became an independent contractor.
