I am a very compassionate person I try to have humor to make any situation a little bit better when necessary, I love being present so that I know from beginning to end what is going on and what needs to take place, I consider myself to be very detailed oriented and is willing to set boundaries for the safety of my clients and others around. I love being a caregiver because I enjoy spending time with my elders and making them feel comfortable and safe at all times. I enjoy most about providing care to the seniors is that I have the advantage of making that person feel loved safe and while again, I am proud to actually say I have made a difference in homes with their elder families and created a trust line Between the clients and myself were that person feels they can be themselves yet Still feel cared for to the best of my ability.

I chose to be a caregiver in honor of my grandmother, before her passing 8 yrs ago i had the opportunity to assist her in caring for her, I felt like this is what i'm suppose to be doing,it felt perfect to me & now i have been working in a retirement home for 4yrs now.

I am a fun caregiver I like to have fun with my companions. I realized they don't like to feel like they can't get active. I treat my elders as a friend but also as if they were my own grandmother that is what I go by. We play cards together and I love to cook for them and watch classic movies. Most important I'm a great listener. I was actually so close with a elder I spent a lot of time with family was getting jealous. Come to find out they were all fighting for money. That particular lady never paid for a thing as long as we were out together. I treated her as my own family and she made me feel as if I were making the world a Gentler place. The lady saw Right through her family always came by because they needed or wanted something, holidays I always made time sometimes taking forever to get out of there it was never a quick visit but worth every second

What makes me a great caregiver it's because I have always cared for family friends and now my child. I have also care and provided for my mother who is a new amputee. I have always worked in the medical field. I have volunteered at Mercy Southwest hospital for five years. Through the years I have donated my time giving back. I know how hard it is to trust someone with your member. I am a honest people person, unreliable with my own car. I hope I can be of service to you . My personal achievements are having my son at age 41 and become a first-time author 2018.
