As a CNA I am a patient oriented caring, skilled, caregiver with experience in hands on nursing care providing ADL's to patients,residents and clients. Monitoring for safety awareness and any changes of condition. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities,reading professional publications to provide excellent customer service. Willing to do light housekeeping and meal preparation.

Growing up in the COGIC there were many elderly attendees. So, myself and other children were taught to go out of our way to tend to the needs of our elders. I believe I am an old soul and can connect to our elderly community with patience and respect. I'm very compassionate and connect on a different level with people who have special needs. Working as caregiver for the first time in 2015 I was recognized for my work with Dementia clients. My care managers believed and trusted in the care I could give to these individuals. So much so that I was their first choice for clients with Dementia who had been labeled as "difficult". I enjoy learning about a persons history and knowledge they might be willing to share.

I think what makes me a good caregiver is that I treat the all my clients with respect and I attend to their needs I like to form a bond with them and treat them as if they were my own family since I spend a lot of time with them I like to get to know each of my clients on a personal level understand and connect with what my client is going through I like to be able to emphasize and I try to put myself in their shoes I try to put my patience at ease for any fears or discomfort that they may have. I am very passionate about my job I love what I do I love just taking care of people in general whatever I can do to help them makes me feel like I've done something important and it gives me satisfaction as well as the feeling of being complete.

I'm a easy person to get along with and vary respectful. I'm a good cook and keeping up a clean home is a high priority of mine.Im atracted to this line of work because ,im differnt then what you would expect also makes me feel good to show humankindness.A personal Achievement of mine is knowing that through all my mistakes in life .I succeeded in raising my son into a intelligent good man.

Hi there! I'm Marvette, 21 year old CNA. I got certified this year, however I am absolutely in love with this profession and am looking to even further my experience with in home care. Before becoming a CNA, I was a barista and did housekeeping. I will be getting IHSS certified this month. My favorite part about my profession is being a companion and a friend to your family member. I believe I am a great caregiver because my heart is in it I love what I do . it makes my day to be able to see a client able to stay home in there own house to receive care so I leave my self open to any shift and last minute calls to achieve that. I take care of my clients as if I was taking care of my own mother.my favorite is hospice care its a pleasure to bring joy smiles and make my client comfortable near the end of there time and I am the chosen one to see them leave. I was a CNA in a nursing home for 3 years. It was my absolute favorite job along with caregiving I have ever had. At the time I was getting ready to have children and took a different career path in insurance always dreaming of the day I would return to caregiving. I enjoy caring for others. I am patient, compassionate and am easy to get along with. I am most proud of my professional achievement in my previous company. I ran a million dollar book of business for my department.

I have been a CNA for 29+ years and love taking care of people. I am firstaide CPR certified plus have my med pass certificate. I have been an assisted living house manager and also an administrator for an assisted living facility. I have experience with alzhiemers,dementia and I have no problems lifting 50lbs or more. I love to clean and cook too.
