I am a care giver at heart! I have always been the nurturer of the family. I have 17+ yrs experience with caring for the elderly. 13 of those years specializing in Alzheimer's and dementia care. I learned from my previous residents' that it's important to have a sense of humor in this field of work, which I can think I'm a comedian some days! I never knew this work was meant for me until it just fell into my lap one day and was told by many I was a natural. I find it very rewarding seeing my patient's happy, see someone relieved of their pain, or just making that special bond or friendship after earning their trust. Whether it be just for a moment in each day, to see that I made my patient's life a little bit easier for them-makes caregiving so worthwhile. Something I have achieved would be staying in this field of work for so many years. There are people that simply aren't capable of doing the "dirty work" that comes with the job title. I can admit sometimes there will be "bad days,"but will always realize that at the end of the day- the good outweighs the bad....

What makes me feel like a great caregiver is that I am a really hard working and determined person who takes a whole lot of pride in my work no matter what the job is. I also really love helping people, I love seeing people happy because of the work I do for them. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is my grandmother was really sick and needed me to take care of her for a year. During this year I was taking her to appointments, cleaning up her house for her, feeding her, giving her her medications when she needed them, and so much more. I learned a lot about myself including that I love helping people within that time period. What I enjoy most about caregiving is that I get to make people happy by helping them out. I really enjoy putting a smile on people's faces. I also love the personal interaction that I get to have with the person I am caring for, it gives you a lot of time to get to know the person you are helping and also for them to get to know you. One personal achievement I am very proud of is that I enjoy producing music and sometimes I put the songs out on the internet. My biggest achievement I made is that I put one of my best songs on my profile and it went viral. As of right now I have roughly 600,000 views on the song and 30,000 likes and that is really huge for me! I really believe that I am the best at what I do no matter what it is and that applies to everything from producing to caregiving.

Honesty, patience & being dependable are very important when working with the elderly. I like working with people, especially one on one and giving them all the attention they need/want. Being a caregiver has been challenging at times but it has also been rewarding to the fact I've been more appreciative in a job I very much love. The one thing I love the most about being a caregiver is before I leave them, I make sure they're feeling better and have a smile on their face.

A few things about me are I am an extremely outgoing person, I love to make people smile and feel joy! I became a caregiver soon after I became a mother because I developed a passion for helping others and bring laughter around. Being a caregiver is more than a job to me, my residents become my family and I love looking out for them. Caregiving showed me the path I wanted to be on and helped me decide what I wanted to do with my life, I have pushed myself to lengths I didn't even know possible; and for that I'm beyond proud.

My passion is in helping people.

I have a long history in the medical field and am very comfortable caring for others. I love to help people, and am great at calming and diffusing situations. My dad was diagnosed with dementia and thinking about it, i hate to know that there are some people out there that don't have family that is able to help care for them. I would love to get the chance to help someone who does not have that option. I am very dependable, and have worked hard throughout my career to advance and learn.

Hello I am Felicia 34 years old became a CNA at 16 decided to step back after sometime and just care provider. I treat anyone and everyone with respect and dignity. I have a wonderful personality and enjoy spending time with you and getting you the proper care. I started young with great grandma's being sick and never stopped caring for people. I am just a proud mom of two boys making it day by day.

I love helping people

I basically have been a caregiver my entire adult life, but in many different aspects. I have an AAS degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant & worked in many different areas as a PT assistant. I have spent a number of years, doing inpatient PT, outpatient PT, long term care & home health PT. I worked as a PT assistant for 17 years. I then went back to school & became a Licensed Massage Therapist & have worked in many different settings as a massage therapist. I do have about a years experience as a personal care provider, I performed duties such as medication reminders, bathing, light meal prep , housekeeping, laundry & assisting him with filling out paperwork to get further help then he was receiving. Also, transportation to Dr. Appointments. I really enjoy getting to know the client & what the clients likes & dislikes are, so I can take care of the client to the best of my ability.

I am a very caring person, fast learner.

I am responsible and truly like helping others. This is also why I was a caregiver. Everyone needs help in one way or another, I don't mind helping where I can. I show empathy and compassion. I always want to make sure I am reliable to those I help. What I enjoy most about caregiving is having a positive impact on those I assist. When I was a CNA, my proudest thing was, seeing the change you bring to those in need. When you are positive and caring towards them and their needs. It makes all the difference.

I enjoy all kinds of activities Music is a huge passion of mine I play 4 instruments and am actively learning another 3 History is one of my favorite subjects to listen about Listening to patients talk about their lives is the greatest joy to me I am always delighted to learn a new card game! or new hobby/skill from my clients I am also happy to offer things like exercising, bathing, and restroom use with the peace of mind of having someone capable of holding large capacities of weight. I am able to easily squat 320lbs and deadlift over 400lbs+. I've learned in my experience that can be a peace of mind that can come included if need be. My vehicle is a 2012 4Runner - It is not far off the ground and does provide comfortable seating. I am big on communication and see that a majority of people require transportation. I also am as well a person who is proud of my cooking skills and ability to make meals with a series of dietary restrictions or requests as needed.

I was born and raised in Pueblo,CO I have always been interested in the medical field I've been a phlebotomist and done sleep studies. I've worked with both children and geriatrics. I feel that helping the elderly do things they're not able to do for themselves without taking their dignity away is important for various reasons and just to know I can improve the quality of their life is rewarding. I take pride in all I do for another person, I care for them as if they were my grandparents. I have my Certificate in CNA, QMAP, Phlebotomy, and Polysomnography.

I just like the thought of being able to take care of the elderly.

I am a very patient and understanding caregiver. My goal is to make anyone feel comfortable around me. I got my love for caregiving when my mom had open heart surgery. I was her caregiver majority of the time. I was doing caregiving for almost 2 years before the pandemic hit then i switched jobs to be a frontline health care worker. What I enjoy most about caregiving is building the relationships I do with individuals and helping with someone's every day needs. A personal achievement i am proud of is raising my own child. I am 24 years old.

I am a caring person with a big heart. I started by being a caregiver in middle school by being a peer mentor in special education classroom. I have a great personality and like to make people laugh. Hello, my name is Theresa, I am 19 years old and a mom to one beautiful little boy named Ashton. When I was younger my older brother had went into the medical field and it opened my eyes to something I truly enjoy. I had left high school my sophomore year and went to college and got my CNA license, shortly after obtaining that I went back and got my GED. I truly enjoy being a caregiver or even someone who just gets to help people and give them the care they need.
