I love being a caregiver, and am a very good one.

9+ years of experience as a caregiver with current Home Health Aide, CPR, First Aide Certification . Due to my past I current experiences, I have acquired skills that will help me to assist clients with their activities of daily living like for exampls bathing and grooming, meal preparations, light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, medication reminder, assist with doctors appointments etc. I have experience working with physical, mental and developmental disabilities clients , diabetic clients, bedbound clients , vision and hearing impaired clients etc I am a friendly and courteous person and Some of my strength are documentation's, Problem solver, following care plans, notify the right authority with concerns regarding clients, and communication. The part I love about being a caregiver is that I get to help someone while at thesame time learning and gaining new experiences.

I come from a large family where I was one of the oldest and grew up taking care of my siblings. I am attracted to the care giving profession because I want to make a difference. What I enjoy most about caregiving is that it is active work. A personal achievement I am proud of is my training as a CNA.

I became a CNA because my great grandmother passed away in her long-term living facility due to poor malpractice. I like being a CNA because I can assist those in need while putting a smile on their faces. I have worked in a rehabilitation and living facility center for more than a year. I have volunteered for two other facilities out side of my city as well as worked with children NB-HS ages. A personal achievement I am proud of is that I have came from a very unpleasant poor past and blossomed into a very upmost successful present life leading into my future. I also hold multiple other medical licenses which are, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Electrocardiogram Technician, Certified Phlebotomy Technician and a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant. Something about myself is that I love to learn, I've never smoked or drank and I try my best to enjoy life to the fullest with an open mind.

Understanding that care is needed in almost every area of life but to bring a patient to their best mobility using rehabilitation skills is my passion. Also I am currently attending the local college to further my career with the medical field as a Registered Nurse.

Makes me feel good. Making both of my grandmothers last days on this earth a pleasant one. I'm a 55 year old male. Father of one son, 31 years old. Worked construction most of my life, until my wife became ill from diabetes. I continued to work part-time, until she needed me full-time. I remained her Caregiver until she past in. Since then I work on Capitol Hill in the tourism and hospitality industry. Went to school for CNA. (Va. State certified) while still working on Capitol Hill. Later i worked at Georgetown University Hospital for two years as a CNA. Since February 2015 I've been work in an unrelated field, which is driving FedEx Office (Kinkos) I'm currently looking for a part-time position, as a companion/sitter. After completing Medical assistant and Phlebotomy I was given a chance to care for my mother, which encouraged me to take on Clinical Nursing Assistant. I worked for 7 plus years as a CNA and currently I am certified and licensed as a Patient Care Assistant(PCA) I am eager to care for and assist others!

Taking care of others has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I was taught to look out for others needs, so this only magnified as I got older. One thing I saw with my grandparents and other other family members is they did the best health wise, when they were able to be in their own homes and spaces. As a single mom, I was introduced to home care. Not only did I get to provide for my son, I was also able to help clients stay in their safe, comfortable spaces. This brings me very much joy! I am an avid cook, and enjoy planning and organization, so this also led me to Home Care and being able to provide those services for clients. I am also the wife of a Chronically Ill spouse, so I completely understand the need for families of sick or aging members to be able to take a break but have a caregiver they can trust. I can manage medications, appointments and many other tasks if need be. I am an old soul, so spending time with the elderly is fun for me. My spouse is a dialysis patient who receives treatment at home. I administer his treatments with His machine. I never thought I'd be doing something like this, but I am proud to be able to do it for him. I would love to also be able to provide care for you or your loved one.
