Hello, my name is Annette. I have been a caregiver since the late 90's. I am caring, kind, compassionate, and driven to get the job done. I first became a caregiver because of my passion and care for others and the process of healing. This has proven true to date as I care for families and family members of my own that have gone through mild to severe terminal illnesses such as broken bone(s) and cancer. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering at homeless shelters, reading, singing, and nature walking. Previously, I have worked in an assisted living facility, hospice, rehab facility, private care, and nursing home. Hello, my name is Nick and I'm a Registered Nurse. I have worked in the medical field for a little over 4 years. I began working in the field as a traveling phlebotomist. I would go to a lot of nursing homes and assisted living facilities to draw blood and pick up samples. I loved interacting with my regulars at the assisted living facilities and eventually I left that job and started working at my favorite assisted living facility, so I could work with my regulars on a daily basis. I love to work with the elderly, because I believe that they still have a lot to offer the community in the way of knowledge and wisdom. I currently work as a registered nurse at ORMC.

I tend to take care of my patients just like family. What attracted me the most to being a caregiver is getting to build trust and doing the things I love the most which is taking care of others around me. I enjoy helping the people that needs help the most when it comes to their daily lives and how they live. I am also a student nurse.

I am a certified C.N.A. that currently works at Advent health. My job duties require me to assist patients that need assistance with some tasks that they don't have the ability to do themselves such as bathing, changing, feeding, assisting to bed, and such. I enjoy knowing that I can help patients without them having to worry about my capabilities and make it so that they are comfortable to the point of not being embarrassed for asking for help.

The culture that I grew up in is with love, respect, and appreciation of our elderly is a norm. Which, this has shaped me to be the person I am today honest, empathetic, care with patient passion. I will come to you when and where you help is needed, in your Home, Hospital or any Long-term Care Facility. I provide a wide variety of care such as; companion care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, doctors appointment, incontinence care, accompany, dementia and Alzheimer's care, respite care, and hospice care where needed. You determine the services, hours, and frequency that works for you and your family.

I have a big heart for humans especially if they are old or sick. I've been taking care of my husband for the past five years, I lost him in May this year. I feel that I pass my energy to others around. I'm proud of being a strong person that can uplift people.

Being a care giver has always been second nature to me being that I had taken care of my grandmother when her health began to worsen, I never look at it as a job but more of a passion knowing that you can help a person and keep them company because everyone needs a friend and someone they can talk to in their time of need. I enjoy learning about the lives of the individuals because they always have a story wanting to be heard, knowing I can give relief to the immediate family members sit well with me because we all deserve a break even from our loved ones. I have experience with Dementia, advanced Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, late stage Cancer, and Diabetic patients. I have a strong knowledge of medications, various procedures (catheterizing, G-Tube feeding, Tracheostomy care, wound care, sterile dressing changes).
