Hello and Welcome to my profile! I'm Erica Sims. I currently reside in the New Haven, CT area. I enjoy meditation, reading, writing, yoga, pilates, and finding new things to learn. I love being able to help the senior women in my community get the best quality care at home. I'm reliable, dependable, and compassionate towards the people I serve. My mother passed away suddenly back in 2007. I never got to say goodbye or even go through a sick process. I had no idea she was even ill from a heart condition. My dad passed 4 years later from lung cancer. He was stubborn and didn't like that fact he needed help. Since I wasn't able to help my parents I found peace in helping other people's love ones get the help that they need. I know most people have families of their own to look after and can't provide the daily care that their ailing love ones need. I would like to help with that. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is hearing my clients response to the question 'What are you grateful for today?' and their answer is You. I love knowing that I am taking care of them emotionally, mentally, as well as their physical needs. They trust the safe, caring, and compassionate environment I create. I've obtained Dementia Care, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's Disease & Home Health Aide Certificate. In May 2019, I became certified as a Health & Life Coach with advanced skills in Heart Disease, Weight loss & Diabetes. So I can broaden my skills to better help my clients. I believe that empathy and compassion for others, being the essence of my personality, made me opt for a career in caregiving. Being a caregiver is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had. I enjoy helping those who either cannot help themselves totally or who are trying to get back on the path to independence. Hi my name is Stacy, I'm 53 yrs. Old. I became a caregiver after the loss of my grandmother. Seeing what my mother went through trying to care for her with very little help with my family other than my sister who lived in the same town and state and was the only one who could personally help my grandmother and mother. After seeing what my mom and sister went through I decided that working as a preschool teacher just wasn't enough for me anymore. So I went to work for a local company here in Fort Smith, AR. And my first night on the job I was sent to a client's home and wasn't informed by anyone that the client's family had all been called to his home to say thier goodbyes he passed away 30 minutes after I got there. It broke my heart to watch his family going through this but it made me feel good that I was able to be there to just care for his basic care so his family could just spend their time with no worries. After that I lost my mother and went through the same thing and was great full that we had a hospice nurse who not only came to care for mother but she took time out of her day to make sure that my sister and myself were doing okay as well. This is when I knew that being a caregiver was my true calling. I want to be able to be the who can help relieve a family some of their worries so they can have as much time with their loved ones and not have to worry about their basic needs knowing that I was there to take on that roll for them . This is my way of paying it forward.

I firmly believe what makes a caregiver a GREAT caregiver is that when you stop believing that it's just a job and truly believe that it's a calling and a passion that you have. That you have the thrive,patients, heart to help others and really enjoy what you do.

Hi my name is Phyllis and every since I can remember I love helping love ones take care of someone that was elderly or sick. I know that some people just need someone that they can talk to or assist them with their daily duties. My mom had dementia and I help take care of her so I know what it is that people go through just to make sure that their love ones is in good hands and will be treated like they would treat them.

I became a Caregiver because I love assisting seniors and people who need help with daily living. I like the fact that I can learn from my clients and I enjoy their company. I am proud that I have completed my course to become an entrepreneur and I have my A.A. degree in Liberal Arts. I am starting an In-Home Care business and I am about to graduate in October with my A.A. in Business Management.

Hello, my name is Brianna Moore. I am 20 years old and I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant since I was 16. I had to drive fours hours away each day for four weeks to attend CNA class because in Arkansas you have to be 18 years old to attend most schools. I am currently in college still, but I go online so I am available to work anytime. I would prefer to sit with a client for more than a day at a time but I am open to all inquires. I'm a long term resident from Burkburnett TX of 19 years, I moved to Wichita Falls after High School to pursue my job in retail at Sheppard Afb. I later met my wonderful spouse an we have 1 child. I worked different fields from 1996 to 2015. I began healthcare in 2015 working with clients with individual developmental disabilities, the business sold out so I reached out to another healthcare job an worked in homehealth as an Aide. I've really enjoyed working this field of work because I love people an helping. I'm very high spirited an I love my God.
