What I believe make me a great caregiver is the good comments my clients say about me. I have passion for helping people especially when it comes to elderly people. They deserve the most and that's what my goal is. I enjoyed being around and able to help my clients needs. I care for elderly people just has I will want someone else to care for my own parents.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I care. I know that the people I take care of were once very viable people and deserve the very best. These people are someone's mom's and dads, uncle's and aunts and deserve to be heard to be taken care of and most of all respected. I'm a good listener, I'm the type of person that knows a little about a lot of subjects in life and I don't mind sharing. I'm most proud of being patient and kind willing to do what ever is required of me and sometimes more I don't feel that it's nothing wrong with spending extra time in a task or staying over a little later because someone is running late etc.

I am also great with assisting with activities of daily living, providing emotional and social support, also managing and coordinating health care services. I became a caregiver because my sister was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 18 and through the ups and downs she have not only her family but a caregiver who is there to help her daily mentally, physically, and emotionally. I feel every person that need that, should have that. Being a caregiver gives me joy and a chance to care for a person who needs time, care, love, and patients. I am proud of setting the goal of getting my degree in criminal justice and achieving it. Achieving this goal set in affect other goals like spending more time with my family and creating a more stable environment for my kids. I went to school to be in a position to help others and I am now in a place where I can get a job to do so.

My name is Destinee Huggins and I have worked in the healthcare field since I was 17 years old I love taking care of geriatric patients I enjoy working in a nursing home a hospice facility as well as the hospital. I chose private duty because it's more flexibility for school purposes.

I realized my love and passion for caring for the elderly when I was 14 and had to move with my grandmother to help her when she broke her hip. I've since volunteered at nursing homes growing up and taken on a couple of personal caregiver positions. I am a very patient kind and caring person. Hello I'm Essence Bostic. I graduated from Henry W. Grady High School. I attended Georgia piedmont technical college. For general knowledge classes. Then later on went to Health Education Associates, Inc. and received my CNA. My clinical was done at AG Rhodes Alzheimer's unit. I have acquired my CPR certification and also my TB information is cleared. I would be great for a job with you all because I'm a hard worker and I'm amazing with people in general. I'm definitely a team player. I believe that with everyone working together we can make our patients life easy and well taking care of. I enjoy seeing people happy and desire to be apart of that happiness.

My grandmother passed in October of 2011 and she was the closet person to me. She suffered from Steven Johnson's Disease which is very detrimental to your body and I remember watching her saying to myself, " I wish there was something I could do to help make things better for her, but in all actuality there was nothing I could do. After watching her go through her medical issues I decided that I wanted to help people with medical needs. I posse an excellent bedside manor as well as I am qualified in all areas including wound care and colostomy cleaning. I pride myself on my attendance and my relationships with my clients.

I love working with people in a home care setting, I have a strong desire to want to help. I posses the necessary qualities to help a person who probably wants to be independent but needs varying levels of assistance in their everyday life. I have patience because you have to be able to place yourself in your patients shoes and understand what it may be like to as some one for help. I am reliable, trustworthy and flexible the patient may not be used to having someone come in so its important to stick to the clients schedule but have flexibility to change at the last minute due the clients health condition.

I love the one on one with my clients and the friendships we create. I started this line of work thinking I could help people but soon into it I realized they help me also. It is such a blessing to make a difference in someones life. I have been married for 6 years and have one son, Family means everything to me and I tend to make work more like family time as well. In my work they are not just clients but family also. My nanny got me wanting to do this. She needed a lot of help at the end of her life and thankfully I was there to give it. From the moment I started I knew this was my calling. It truly is what I feel I am supposed to do.
