When I got laid off in 2008, I became employed at a assistant living home and I just fell in love with the residents. I went on to work with a physician who paid for my cna course and license. I had residents that I took care of outside of working for the doctor, I also became close to the patients. I love being a caregiver because I feel its my true calling and that I can show others that someone can still love and tend to them. An achievement that I have accomplished is raising two kids as a single parent whom both will be in college or the military. Im a joyful person who is always smiling, caring, loving, dependable, willing to learn, and I'm a team player. I plan on going to school to become an lpn and get my certification in wound care.

I became a care giver because I enjoy taking care of the elderly. I love making a difference in other people lives; I am proud of the fact that I can be a help for someone in need. I am an aspiring nurse, a mother of 3 boys that I dearly love.

My name is Hidayatou but Hidaya for short, I work in the health field since 2010. I work with AHRCNYC in New York city for seven years, I dealt with adults with mental challenges, some have dementia, alzheimers, cerebral palsy to list few. I love working with people because we all have our own disabilities, knowing that I can help make a little change in people's life make me feel useful. I am studying to become an RN in the next few years. I have children that also help me to patient with people. Right now I work for lady, in Atlanta I have been with her for almost 2 years now.

Caring, protecting and serving the elderly and disabled is my calling and passion. People consider me to be a very compassionate and ardent person. These are traits I adopted naturally from my mother who was also a caregiver who took me with her to assignments. I saw the compassion that my mom had on the elderly who were lonely and afraid. Of course as a child care giving was not my immediate desire. As I got more involved in the church and having to take care of my mom, I found this work to be truly rewarding and joyous. Now I look forward to visiting with seniors, talking with them, taking care of their needs in the nursing home and working with the sick and shut-in ministry of our congregation. My background is in Administrative Support "notice the word support" which means helping, so I guess you can say supporting is in my blood. I became a caregiver because I always have the passion to make someones day. Those who cant do for themselves and even if they can do for themselves I love to be an assistant.
