Hello my name is Manica Leon and I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 15+years. I love and enjoy taking care of people. The people I care for often times become more than just a patient, they become famliy. I also took care of my paralyzed mother for three years after an awful stroke. Being a Certified Nursing assistant is a rewarding and humbling field for me. I always try to encourage my patients to never give up and know that things could be way worst. I'm a Certified Nursing Assistant with 12 years of experience. I go above and beyond in what ever I do to make people Happy. I became a caregiver because I seen my grandmother raise our family and I said to myself I wanted to take up the same trait as she was doing. I got into the nursing field and knew that caring for the elderly was my PASSION. I have worked in nursing homes, assisting living homes, hospitals and in people homes that needed my help. I enjoy working with the elderly because I know I'm one of God gift that he set here on this earth to take care of others. I love the companionship with them. Love to hear about their lifetime stories. I'm proud of these past 12 years that I have dedicated to the elderly, because I know that it's my calling. I became a caregiver because when I was young my great grandmother pass away because they put her in a nursing home and she was so unhappy and I said to myself then that I was going to take care of the elderly when I get big and I have been working as a CNA every since I was 17 in high school I love my job as a caregiver it's a passion of mine.an achievement of mine is just seeing a smile on the family face when Is when they see change in their loved ones . I after I had been with them companionship, from private care just sitting with them in the hospital , being with them on their last days just walking in with a big smile and my client were say to me there go my angel that makes me feel so good to know that's how my client feel about me when they , I see me I just love that .and I am glad that I can make them feel good even though they are feeling down ,my friend have always told me if they ever got sick or their parents of a loved one they will want me to take care of them they said they love the spirit that I have the compassion the love that I bring to them when I'm around my smile my happy attitude. I am a mother of 5 kids they are all grow up now , i am grandmother of 11 and 5 great grandkids I love my family they mean a lot to me but as I'm getting older in life I found out that I need to find something for me so I told my family that I was thinking about relocating and doing a live in with my client I'm very passionate about my work as a caregiver I love it .

I consider myself a people person. I love being able to help someone. I have always wanted to give back to our elderly people. I love being able to care for and learn from them. Listening to their life stories is one of the things that I enjoy the most. Getting a medical assistant degree along with being a single mother.

I am a single mother of 2. I've been divorced 14 years my kids and patients are my world. I've never worked for a family yet that I didn't feel apart of. Your loved one is treated like my loved one. My moto is treat people the way u would wanna be treated if the shoe was on.the other foot.

My personality traits: I consider myself compassionate, caring, patient, empathetic, energetic, loyal, clean and punctual. Ability to cook healthy meals, complete household tasks and include daily activities. What attracts me as caregiver is that I enjoy working and helping people and have one-on-one interaction. I am a mother of 3 children, married fir 24 years. CNA certified, proxy's medication, work with dementia and Alzheimer's for 2 years. Currently working at advantage behavioral with IDD.

I am a paramedic with over 10 years experience. My time in EMS has taught me how to handle a wide range of medical issues. I work well under stressful situations and pride myself on punctuality. I have 1 daughter and she is a full time student at UGA working on her PHD. I have flexible hours very reliable transportation. I was raised and born here in Georgia so good manners and respect are deeply rooted in me. I have chosen to retire from EMS and focus on more one on one care giving.

I believe I was given a gift of an affinity towards the elderly and infirm. There is a sense of great satisfaction in knowing that I have made a difference in someone's life.
