What makes you a great caregiver? - I am very patient when it comes to my patients and I also like learning about my patients, -I'll always make sure their well taken care of - daily reminder to take medication etc - daily exercises / some type of workout to keep them active and moving Why did you become a caregiver ? - I became or decided to be a caregiver because it was a great learning experience helping my mom and learning a lot from her being a caregiver I also wanted to be a caregiver cause I like helping and being around elderly folks I love taking care of them as if they were my own family member , I also didn't like how my grandma was getting treated so I decided to become a caregiver just to show people that you can trust us with your family members What do you like about being a caregiver ? Being around my patients , growing a bond with my patients and their family , what I like most about being a caregiver is that it reminds me of being with my grandparents and taking care of them What is a personal achievement you are proud of ? My most personal achievement I'm most proud of would be overcoming a very bad mental health ( anxiety, depression) and that's one thing I would love to help others with as well

My personality allows me to be a great caregiver due to my passion for helping out my elders or those who are unable to care for themselves. I recently took on the role of becoming a caregiver because of my husbands grandfather whos health has declined over the course of 3yrs. It sparked something in me to want to do this because I thought about the future and when it will become time for those I love who will be in the same predicament where they need someone to care for them and I wanted that to be me. I really enjoy becoming a caregiver because I get to build a relationship with my clients and building trust that they would allow me to be apart of there lives in the most difficult time. My personal achievement for me would be being able to extend my love through taking care of people's loved ones. It's been such a blessing for me.

Always like smiling and laughing. Keeping a positive attitude. Knowing that the person who is under my care is safe and happy. Accomplishes all that needs to be done. Great listener will sit and listen to anything and everything. Having patients and understanding. Helping to redirect a person to think positive. Finding things that make them happy. When I was younger. When family members would get sick. I would always be the first to figure out what I could do to help and attending to them. As if I was a nurse. It always made me feel good. That I'm helping someone. Making other people happy. My personal achievement would be doing what I love doing. Helping people. Doing everything I would have done if I was younger.

I have always been exposed to caregiving as I had to assist my mother as she ran a Group Home for the disabled. As well, as I have started caring for children since I was 9yrs old. If I am able to provide to someone comfort and care to the best of my abilities, that is my achievement.

Caring for others is a passion of mine. I treat others how I want to be treated, and give care the way I would want to receive. I am a great believer in God and Karma so everything i do is to the best of my ability. I have been caregiving basically my whole life and know that this is where my heart is. I have the most experience with disabled patients, assisting with their personal hygiene, feeding, changing diapers (women only), bed baths and transfering with the hoyer lift. I am a fast learner so anything I see twice I can do with no problem. And I have a lot of patience.

Aloha, A little bit about me, I have a passion for taking care of not only elderly, but for anyone who needs a little extra help, whether it be infants, toddlers, teenagers, or adults. I am a strong willed independent individual who is not afraid to take on any task given to me. I decided to become a Nurse Aide after my grandma had an accident in the care of another caregiver and needed full hands-on care. I decided that I wanted to be there for elderly and give them the best care they could receive. If you spoke to any of my clients and/or clients family members they would tell you that I always have a positive, cheerful attitude. I'm always willing to go above and beyond with care. I enjoy conversations and just giving people something to laugh about. I am currently working on getting back into school to become a registered nurse, so I decided to stay in the same field of work.

Hi , my name is shakaralei , a lot of family and friends call me Kara , I'm a loving and passionate person , I love caregiving , I love being able to talk to people , I love caring for my patients being able to help them through the day , talk about there kids or grand kids or things they loved to do in the past and just getting to know them , was always my favorite part of the job. But don't let my personality get in the way , I always get my job done while I make sure to talk an entertain them , even if it's just watching a tv show they love watching everyday. I make sure they're comfortable around me . What attracts me to being a caregiver is the fact that I can make someone's life a little brighter to being able to help people and hear about the stories they love to tell or even helping them is good enough , I have a mother that I took care of my whole life that suffered with diabetes and breast cancer and I was always right there by her side through it all , I would bath her , change her , prep her meal , go walking with her take care of my sibling , make sure to give her the medication she needed at all times on time , and with that being said I was very responsible at a young age to where the minute I graduate I knew the cashier jobs wasn't enough for me all though I love making people happy an I love customers I was passionate with helping my elders and that's why I'm here today to do what I love to do , help people .
