Hello! My name is Alyson. I first became a care giver, before I even got my license, when I was 15. I worked for the park district, working with families and then babysitting children. I even worked as a nanny for a few families. I also cared for children and adults that are physically or mentally disabled. I have cared for elderly people as well. I have cared for clients who needed a little help with cooking and cleaning to hands on care for those who had Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Dementia. I have also house and pet sat for multiple families. I am a very caring, sweet, patient person. Being a caregiver is a great fit for me because I enjoy helping people and listening to their stories. I have a great sense of pride going home after work, knowing that I made a difference in someone else's life. Something I am proud of today; caring for clients with so many different needs over the years. One of my clients made it through to the point, she didn't need care anymore. She was able to be independent on her own after I helped her for four years. During my time when I am not working to help other people, I enjoy outside activities, taking care of my garden, my indoor plants, crafting, kayaking, camping, cooking and spending time with my loved ones and pets.

My name is Yvonne Bell. I have been a caregiver for over 10 years. I have enjoyed my work and i am very satisfied with the level of care i have been able to give to patients over these years. I started doing home care while i was a stay at home mother which gave me the flexibility to be home in morning. Seven years ago I started working at Advocate BroMenn Healthcare Center in Bloomington Illinois. I served there as a Cardiovascular Tech. in the Open-Heart Unit. I grew up with a huge family, my mother was a Foster care provider, my dad was a Chief Fireman, I am the youngest of 8children, I grew up watching my mom take care of handicapped children my entire life, I always loved seeing how happy it made her to be able to help someone, even if it were just by giving that child love, I've grown to follow her footsteps and I just love being able to help someone if I can, even if can't make them better health wise, I can help them feel better emotionally, everyone deserves the BEST CARE POSSIBLE, that's why I love doing this job! I'm experienced in all aspects of Nursing, I've done pretty much everything expected, I am Certified in Nursing, I'm in school for Phlebotomy, I worked 15yrs in Dementia Care, as well as Alzheimers. I'm very fun to be around and love the new experiences with each client.

I have been a CNA since 2007 after completing a health occupations course in high school. I have always had a passion for helping people and am truly blessed to have landed a wonderful career in healthcare as a radiologic technologist. A caregiver isn't a job for just anyone. You have to have special characteristics to provide excellent care, I am honest, trustworthy, friendly, punctual, caring, good listener, patient and selfless. My happiness comes from helping others. As I grew up I took care of myself, as a teen I moved in with my grandparents so I could take care of them ever since then it's always been my dream to help others. Also I have worked in nursing homes and it broke my heart to see how residents are cared for. People seem happier in their own homes so if there is something I can do to help them stay in their home I will do it. Through the years I've had several clients, I have never had a client that has not liked me. I am proud to say that I have brought happiness to other people's lives and provided the best care that I could.

I prefer working with people one on one and feel it's the best way to get to know someone, and give care. My favorite people to work with are those with schizophrenia and dementia/Alzheimer's. I've always wanted to be a caregiver in some way. My grandmother was a nurse, and we spent a lot of time together helping others in various ways. She taught me how to give care, and to help others when they need it. I saw what she did, and how it affected other people, and wanted to give that to others myself. I enjoy helping other people.
