I have rehabbed many to assisted living, ECF, and home settings throughout my career. I love working with all ages but most experienced with geriatric population. My personality is outgoing, creative, and compassionate. I will try my hardest to fulfill all requirements but attempt to make it as enjoyable as possible. I became a caregiver because I knew when I was 10 years old this is what I wanted to do, my mom had to have a major stomach surgery and her incision got infected so the home health nurse came to the out everyday to repack and clean the wound out, I would help the nurse bloody gauze and nasty stuff everywhere but it didn't gross me out, I make an amazing caregiver because I always put myself in a different pair of shoes , what if it was my mother, father, or grandparent? Most people don't like doing the "dirty work" that comes with being a CNA but it gives me pleasure to know that I helped that person have a better day or helped them look how they would like. I enjoy boosting self-esteem because it greatly impacts how a persons health is. What is a personal achievement you're proud of: I'm proud of myself when I can handle a difficult situation that most people would give up in. I can handle stressful situations with an excellent attitude which allows me and the client to connect. I think its most important when a client trust you, it makes their day go by easier and it helps me to get to know them on a better note.
