Hi! My name is Felisha. I'm 26. I am originally from Kansas and just recently moved to Colorado. I am married of 5 years with two sons. They are 4 and 2. I also am legal guardian of my sister. It's been about 2-3 years since I've been a caregiver, but it's naturally always been an instinct. Ever since I can remember, caring for someone is what has brought me the most joy. I enjoy being able to build bonds with people on different level. I really enjoy being challenged and taught something new . Since being a caregiver, it has brought me many different opportunities that I'm extremely grateful for. It has especially prepared me for many things as I entered motherhood that I'm proud of.

I started as a CNA when I was 16 and loved it there second I started working in a nursing home. I loved hearing the stories my residents had and the relationships I built with all of them. I am patient and understanding and have a lot of experience (6 years total) taking care of the elderly and disabled. I am now a second grade teacher and just miss interacting with and taking care of the elderly.

I am an enthusiastic, big hearted, 22 year old. I enjoy caring for people and providing companionship as well. I never grew up around family and to me the people I care for become family and I treat them as such. If I would not want my parents, grandparents etc. treated a certain way I can assure you I will not do that to yours. I love the connection and the opportunity it gives me to give back to the community. I know people are very busy and can not always provide the time or care for their elderly and/or disabled loved ones and that is why I have gone into this field to provide the assistance needed for families to help alleviate some stress and worry. I am hard working, honest, polite, and will do my best to provide what you want and expect from me as a caregiver. A personal achievement that I am proud of would have to be the connection I made with a family when I first started this career. It's an experience that keeps me going even when I get discouraged with school and such..... I bonded with an elderly gentleman I took care of and his family. Sadly he was the first death I experienced and I took it hard. His family made a point to come visit me at work and invite me to his funeral. They wanted to also let me know how much they appreciated how I took care of their father and gave me such an amazing feeling and to this day it helps me always remember WHY I do this and all the good that comes from what I do as a caregiver

I have been giving care since I was eleven to my father before he passed away. I enjoy making others happy and being able to provide them with something they didn't have before.

Iam an outgoing woman that loves to talk to people from all walks of life and enjoys learning from another ones experiences. I enjoy learning about other peoples history and their careers and families. I fell into caregiving when i graduated from college and it just became a part of who i am and where i have gone. I have been working for a hospital for going on two years now and that is an accomplishment in of itself and I am proud of it.

I am currently a nursing student at ESU. I am working towards my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I will then further my education to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. I have worked in memory care for almost a year and it's taught me the compassion that my residents experience. I enjoy being a caregiver because it's rewarding to me. Hello! My name is Destinee O'Shea, and I am currently an undergraduate student at Emporia State University. I am an aspiring bilingual, pediatrician and plan to get my MD degree at KU School of Medicine. I have always enjoyed helping people. I was always one of the first to volunteer for community service in my youth groups or clubs! My favorite volunteer experience is when I travel to Denver, CO to volunteer at a children's home over the summer. So far, I have done this five times! Additionally, I have about 4 years of experience working as a CNA and CMA. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is making my resident/client feel loved and not alone. It brings me joy to make someone smile and feel heard. A personal achievement I am proud of is my drive to perform well academically, and to be known as a kind and genuine person.

I am a 29 year old male looking for work in the helping field. I am currently in grad school and I am looking to have regular day time hours. At my current job my schedule is a little all over the place and im looking to have something a bit more consistent. Me and wife just got married in December and recwntly bought our first house here in Olathe. I have been in the helping field for 8 years, mainly while working during my undergrad but really enjoy working in this field.

I have cared for several elderly family members and family friends over the last few years. Most recently, I cared for my great-grandmother who suffered from dementia and Alzheimer's. I loved being her caregiver because I could always make her feel good, which made me feel good. My favorite things to do for her were make her favorite meals, do her hair and nails to make her feel like she was in the salon, and take her for rides in the car for some fresh air and sunshine.

My name is Rubi Trujillo from Liberal Ks, also I am a CNA. I'm studying to be physical therapist at Emporia State University in Emporia Ks.

I am very outgoing and self motivated in my work and school life. I believe I would succeed in this position because of the compassion I have and how I thrive in social situations.
