My name is Julisa Mitchell I am a very outgoing individual, I love life and the people in It. I have been a caregiver for 10 years now I recently completed my NATCEP course and plan on becoming a registered nurse in the near future. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love helping people, I love coming to work and seeing them light up with joy. Listening to the stories they have to tell is very rewarding, you learn a lot of new and interesting things. Being a caregiver is so much more than a job it is truly a passion I have.

I like to smile , have a positive energy. The reason why I love being a caregiving because helping my older people is really apart of me . I love helping the kind older people [?].

I have worked as a caregiver for over 35yrs., I started taking care of my grandfather in the early 80s, because he had his legs amputated and my mother had congested heart failure . Then I started working as Nurses aide. While I was going to SAC for business technology and started taking care of more people. I enjoy talking with people and learning different things that they inspire me in my life that have been very beneficial with my growth. In my life and experiences including my kids. Wouldn't be the person I am today without being able to have worked as a caregiver. from my past clients that have helped me in many ways

I absolutely love the elderly! They have so many stories to tell and have the luxury of a wonderful imagination since they are not caught up in this technology age. When I have had the opportunity to care for these wonderful seniors - I am the one that benefits the most. They always just make my day complete. I managed the first Assisted Living Facility in Grand Prairie; and have longed to be involved in this caring atmosphere again.

I became a caregiver when my mother became ill and needed help with everything. I remember being at the doctors office and she said that there where a lot of people who needed care and that she thought thats what I was meant to do.I care about people I enjoy learning things everyday.I have worked in a hospital in my past for nine years doing birth certificates interviewing the parents and dealing with the public. I enjoy working with the elderly and hope I can make each day a pleasant one . I have experience with alzheimers, dementia, diabetes insulin dependent, and healing of fractures such as a broken hip ,ankle etc. and there therapy afterwards. I have dealt with people who are depressed and have notice the more active I can get them to be it seems to help. I love to cook and I love to learn new recipes as well. I also love animals and taking care of them also.

I became a caregiver after careing for my mom back in 2000 before she passed in 2006. I saw how happy I made her so I said why not help others. So I became a caregiver because My passion is making them happy and keeping them safe.I recently resigned from a job I had last September 2014 when my mother in law was diagnosed with Dementia. Everyday she was happy I feed her bath her took her out we played bingo , we just had a ball. But here recently she passed (2015 April). Now I'm ready to share my happiness with others.

I Became A CNA Because It Was Something Different. It Was The First Step To My New Beginning In Life, Being That I Could Further My Education And Become An LVN Or RN. I Loved Cheer Leading Throughout School, So My Smile And "Perky" Personality Has Always Been Apart Of Me. I Received My License In October Of 2008, And I Haven't Worked Any Other Job Since Then. Over These Years I've Learned That There's Nothing More Satisfying To Me Than Doing For Others. Putting A Smile On Someone's Face By Showing Acts Of Kindness And Simply Lending A Helping Hand ????
