Compassion and empathy are my greatest attributes. I have cared for my clients post a massive stroke which included diaper changes, washing, Hoyer Lift, feeding, medication management, advocate for there care, navigating Medicare/Medicaid and SSI/SSD, house cleaning, food shopping, etc. I understand paralysis, stroke, speech impediment, palliative and hospice care, oxygen dependent, chronic aspiration and feeding tube, to name a few examples. I assisted for several years with respite care. My clients have needed assistance with insulin dependent (medication management), had Alzheimer's/Dementia and could no longer speak and was also bed bound. Should you/your loved one require care after an operation, I have experience with this as well. I have worked in the medical field for almost two decades in radiology offices and as a licensed massage therapist providing therapy for Multiple Sclerosis, Sickle Cell Anemia, Edema, Fibromyalgia, chronic headaches, Sciatica to name a few. Life has directed me, as a calling would a religious leader, to caregiving. The role I wish to take during my waking hours is to care for those who have difficulties in being 100% independent. Empathy is in my "job description" and my "resume." The Enneagram and Myers-Briggs personality outcome-I am a caregiver and advocate (INFJ). Caring for another human is what I believe all humans were put here to do; to help each other through this journey in whatever gifts we have to offer. I enjoy others company and have a sense of true purpose by providing someone a sense of freedom in assisting them, encouraging confidence and an overall easier time of the human experience. Aside from helping other humans, I have rescued over two-hundred dogs and counting. Currently I volunteer my time with the Humane Society. I enjoy cooking and watching others enjoy my flavorful dishes.

Hi my name is Sam, I am twenty-four years old, originally from New York and fluently speak English and Spanish. I am patient, attentive, and loving to everyone. All of my experiences are personal. Though I did not go to school to become a caregiver, it does not take away from everything I have learned and how much I enjoy caring for the elderly, children, or individuals with medical disabilities / delays. My interest in becoming a caregiver began at age sixteen, when my great grandmother, who was 106 years old, was put on hospice. Though she had 14 children, she was very selective when it came to who could help her out of bed, change her, feed her, & bath her. I was one of the five people she let assist her. I also cared for my godmother who had M.S. until six years ago. For the past three years, I have been traveling from MD to NYC, as needed, to care for my grandmother who has stage four head and neck cancer. I took a week off to care for her post surgery, I accompany her to radiation/chemotherapy treatments, clean her open wound and much more. As a case manager today, seeing how the elderly are often neglected and cast aside, is heart breaking. Many believe the elderly no longer have anything to offer, but they couldn't be more wrong. Elders have infinite knowledge and experience to share that we can benefit from. Same as children, though I do not have children of my own yet, I have two amazing nephews, four and six, who keep me on my toes, and teach me so many wonderful new things. Being a caregiver is not just a job, it can be a learning experience & rewarding in its own way. Some proud personal achievements would have to be graduating Towson with my B. S. and buying my first car. My next goal is to of course pay off that car and then help my parents own a home of their own. P.S. Hello! My name is Stephanie and I've been involved in the medical field for on going four years now. I started when I was 15 and enrolled myself in an EMT course through my volunteer firehouse and have been nationally recognized as one for the past four years. Helping people has always been what I wanted to do, whether it's for emergency situations or day to day tasks. I became a CNA/GNA in the spring of 2019 and since then I've been working for Lorien skilled nursing facility. I am currently still in school for my nursing degree and I am also enrolled in a Phlebotomy course to enable to to get my certification in phlebotomy. I want to change my current work environment and further my experience by helping those who need it while in their own homes. I wish to provide help and care for those in their own homes to make them as comfortable and happy as possible.

I have 3 yrs experience with home health as I started at a young age volunteering at Johns Hopkins Baview Medical Center. I fell in love with providing care to the elderly. The companionship that you provide and the smiles on their face when they see you. I love hearing stories about their younger years. I plan on achieving my nursing degree and opening my own home health care business! I am very enthusiastic, caring, and a very hard worker! I provide services such as: bathing, transportation, house cleaning, meal preparation, day trips, medication supervision, etc.... I am cpr and first certified. One thing that makes me stand out from other care givers is I treat my clients like family. I treat them as they were my own mother or father.
