I became a caregiver because I care about the people I work with. I want to give each person the opportunity to be their own personal best. As a caregiver, I have helped the person with ambulation, getting dressed and eating. I have provided transportation to shopping and doctors' appointments. With my background as a medical transcriptionist, I can usually explain the language of the doctor. I have also introduced the Internet which includes e-mail, Skype, photographs of family and friends and making purchases which will be delivered to the person's door.

I'm naturally a patient kind person. I love helping people. That being said, I'm CPR certified, I'm certified with working with the mentally disabled, I've been working in geriatrics since the age of 5 and I enjoyed the wisdom I attained from everyone around me.

I am dependable. I started to notice how willing I am when it comes to helping others regardless of the situation I am in. Without even knowing a person, I still try to understand their problems in order to help. Other than making others feel good, my personality is memorable. My peers and trusted adults that surround me on a daily basis can attest to my outgoing personality. I want to offer my services to those in need, giving them a sense of security and the support they need. By showing both empathy and compassion I will be able to let the person I am caring for to know that I care want to do what I can to help them.

I have been a private companion caregiver for 12+ years. The thing i enjoy most about being a caregiver is getting to know my client. I also enjoy taking care of things my clients can no longer do for themselves. I've always enjoyed helping people. I am very kind, patient, and am willing to help out anyway I can.

I treat all of my patients with respect, love and a compassionate heart. If I live long enough I will be there myself. Treat people the way you wanted to be treated. My patients enjoy my warm and sweet personality. They know I care!

I am a mother to three great kids and have spent a long time in veterinary medicine and now nursing caring for those great and small. I am interested in getting into home health nursing so I thought this would be a great first step.
