My passion to become a caregiver started when I was in high school having to take care of my grandmother who was diagnosed with breast cancer. 2. I am inspired by the work of doctors, nurses, social workers who were always willing to assist people with problems. It really hit home when I became a caregiver for my niece, who has passed. The joy and excitement in her eyes touch me like no other. I've learn that everyone in some way need a helping hand. Being a from New Orleans and a survivor of hurricane Katrina I realized that life is to short and can be taken away in a flash.
