My name is Larita Holt , 34 year single mother of 2 wonderful children. I been working in the health care field since 2015, started off working as a job coach for the mentally challenged, to working as a health care aide with senior citizens. I just got my cna license during the pandemic in 2020 and I love it. I enjoy helping people it definitely a passion for me. Right now im currently working part-time at a nursing home and just looking to find someone close to home, I can help out on the days I'm off.

I really enjoy helping and caring for those who need help. I've been in the medical field for 7 years (right out of high school). I love worked in just about every area there is, independent, assisted, memory care, hospice care, and I worked in a hospital setting. I enjoy being able to see and put smiles on the faces of my residents/patients and help them with the things they are no longer able to do.

Everyone has a calling in life... Mine is the the compassionate care of others. I love to help others when they are having trouble helping themselves. I believe that people need to be treated with compassion and respect regardless of their condition. My experience has proven to me that I have patience and empathy to provide the care and love required to be a great care giver. I am punctual and dependable so there is never any worry if I am going to show up or not. I consider myself a good cook and maintain a clean home. I am capable of running most home health care equipment. I am also very capable of dealing with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and hospice. I manage a facility that is rated a 5 star home for 4 years in a row by the state. About me personally; I have been married to my husband for 30 years and we have a 16 year old daughter. We have lived in the same house for 22 years so you might consider me a very stable person. I enjoy working outside in my flower beds, church activities, and my daughters sporting events.

I enjoy being a caregiver for people that's in need of help. I been a caregiver for 15 years and received my Certified Nursing Assistant licensing 7 years ago. The most important fact of being a caregiver is patience and compassion to me. Without this there's know other way to help clients. So this is something I adore doing because I'm compassionate and have a lot of patience.

I became a caregiver because i love the interaction and the ability to bring and be the happiness in someones life. as many families don't come around often and to be able to be an assistance in someones everyday life. I like meeting new people of all ages and providing them the care that they can no longer do themselves. A personal achievement for me is nursing my mother back to health she took ill shortly after i graduated from high school and she still wanted me to leave for college. So i did but i came back every chance i had to take care of her, she couldn't do the things she used to such as cook,clean, wash herself etc. and now in this present time she is back healthy walking and talking doing everything a mother and a newly made grandmother should be doing. I am a 20 year old college student majoring in biology this is my 3rd year i am on my way to becoming a family doctor. I love the outdoors biking, walking, softball, swimming etc. I am an outgoing person with a unforgettable personality.

From my experience working with professional caregivers, clients, and families, the characteristics of a good caregiver include: Demonstrating empathy and compassion for the senior. Supporting the patient's family members, who may be struggling to cope with their loved one's decline.
